Didu Turbocharged June 12, 2019 Share June 12, 2019 Just changed to PS31 today. Feels softer than my stock Toyo which lasted me only 20K . Competitive price from Chen Jin @ Kaki Bukit. Will be monitoring how the new tyres perform.

Didu Turbocharged June 13, 2019 Share June 13, 2019 Hmm..the tyre shop did not mentioned how much air pressure used during installation. Guess I've to pop by the gas station for a quick check.

Now got one slowly leaking air... Might just change since it is cheap...

QQDreamer 4th Gear June 14, 2019 Share June 14, 2019 I also find PS31 side wall a bit soft. But threadwear 440, enough to double the mileage of toyo... indeed the thread wear for PS31 is really high. no matter how u travel, the thread is still quite deep. usually how many KM travel that you guys start to see the thread wear? my next tyre change is coming. currently am on PS31 also. the thread is still quick deep. due to the manufacturing year in 2016 i think coming 3 years is time to change soon. May consider this PS31 again.

I usually use the finger nail test, if the rubber is no longer soft, then is time to change.. Edited June 14, 2019 by Hachi

I usually use the finger nail test, if the rubber is no longer soft, then is time to change.. 25k mileage no high, change so fast? Thought the PS31 state the treadwear as 400 something? My previous type non-PS31 started treadwear is 240.. I use until 45k so a lot of tread left think can use till 65k
Hachi 3rd Gear June 15, 2019 Share June 15, 2019 Noted. Just did a worm plug for $6 at AL. Got a nail in the tyre. The tyre like 30% used. I am not concern about the thread wear, rather I am more concern about the rubber hardening. Maybe 2.5 years us a safe bet.

This PS31 has many improvements over the KU31 it replaced except for slightly lower wet performance. The KU31 dried out around 4 years, IMHO PS31 can last around 4 years before it hardened/dried out. VFM tyres I would say. Edited June 15, 2019 by Cypher
Hachi 3rd Gear June 15, 2019 Share June 15, 2019 Agreed, VFM tyres. But I liked KU31 design more.
