VinLSS Neutral Newbie June 20, 2018 Share June 20, 2018 Yes, but not unusually wet. 11km+/l, with the usual morning school traffic crawl, probably suggest that I'm not that heavy footed. Maybe just heavy only... ð I've yet to experience those multi-gear spin scenario like you. Not sure if want to try at all. Have driven milder turbo cars but hardly go all out to push them to their limits. Both tyres equally good on noise though. However, for the car roof itself, I feel that the rain splatter sounds seem to be rather loud. Not sure if there's any sound proofing for this. Hi Ryansg, You're right about the rain splatter sound. When it rains heavily, can't have a decent conversation. Otherwise on a fine weather day, cabin is still relatively quiet. Hi guys? The Passat comes with the Blackvue 2ch/ 590 . Like to know any feedback from you guys on this recorder ? Considering yo use my current one or take the VW Blackburn 590 set. Tks for feedback, I went for iRoad X9 with front and rear camera with an external battery unit. View is sharp and comes with lane departure warning, front collision warning and traffic light move off alert function.

Cochran 1st Gear June 22, 2018 Share June 22, 2018 Hi Passat B8 owners (esp 1.8 TSI 280 Comfortline) Can anyone share experience about this new engine/gen. Is this better than infamous B7 problems? As I am considering tqvm I'm a bit confuse here. I know the 1.8L 180bhp model is the 330 2.0L 220bhp model is the 380 Yes. on the road i saw some B8 passat with the 280 at the rear. I know 280 is VW 1.4L 150bhp model. SO the Passat B8 with 280 at the rear is 1.4 or 1.8L? And its not listed in VW centre model list or price etc. Can advise? Thank you. The 1.8L peak torque is 250nm, so the number is 280 The 2.0L peak torque is 350nm, so the number is

Lotr 6th Gear June 22, 2018 Share June 22, 2018 Mmmm.. Then explain the number 330 on the 1.8L? 330 means the torque is 300. I only know the 1.8L Passat is 250Nm.

Ryansg 1st Gear June 22, 2018 Share June 22, 2018 Hi Passat B8 owners (esp 1.8 TSI 280 Comfortline) Can anyone share experience about this new engine/gen. Is this better than infamous B7 problems? As I am considering tqvm New to owning a VW before I've gotten my B8 CL, so can't comment and compare on B7 engine performance. My past 7 months with the car has been good and responsive. Haven't faced any judder or loss of power. Just like how any new car should behave. The enhancement done for the mechatronic unit should have covered for B8s. Whether or not it is the solution to all the problems faced, it'll probably take more concrete feedback to round things up. Salespersons at VW are probably not the best source. Do share if anyone here knows anyone (directly) who has had this problem on their B8, and what VW offered as a remedy. ok. blur. Or is there any Passat Owner here with the 280 stick on ur car. can confirm yours is 1.4L or 1.8L? I know there are 1.4L Passat B8 in other country. Should be able to find online reviews for more info. Edited June 22, 2018 by Lotr
