There is a legendary guru whose name sounds like Sony. Quite well known in the VW/Audi/Skoda community. He can change setting to disable auto start stop and set aircon to recirculate.

Not sure if he can help on your memory seats issue, but heard he's good at troubleshooting electricals too.

Or actually, most workshops who specialize in VW cars should know how to do also.

PM me if you need his contact.

Thanks bro for the help! Just checking, will it void the warranty if i change the setting?

I hope not, because i also changed my settings... 😆

Actually if under warranty, why not go back to VCS to troubleshoot your memory seats?

Hi everyone, need some tips and help on the b8 passat.

Anyone has any idea on how to permanently disable the auto start stop and set the air con setting to recirculate everytime upon starting up the car?

Also, I've been experiencing issues with the memory seats setting as i'm unable to store the memory of the seats after adjusting. Does anybody face the same issue or does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Thanks!

Mine is oct 2019. I did all that you had said by myself thru coding. Hasn’t went back for first service yet so not sure abt warranty. But not difficult to make back. Maybe 10 mins of my time.

i have been considering doing stage 1 that will definitely void the warranty. Thinking of giving up on warranty. I bought the vehicle and own it. Not rent, so I don’t see why must I be at the mercy.

Wah bro, need to use OBD eleven to code or how did you manage to do it?

Yea quite true, pay so much money to get the car already yet still need to keep within warranty guidelines.

Is it ok to use Octane 95 grade for Passat B8 ? The SE told me not to waste $$ on Octane 98 lol. Thanks.

I tried both. No diff. In fact 95 drives better.

This was shared before. I'm re-posting here

You can try the following:

1. Stay outside of your car and press ignition button (don't start your car)

2. Press the button to move the seat all the way forward till maximum.

3. Do the same to move the seat all the way back till maximum.

4. Get in the car, close the door, start the engine, set the seat to your liking position then press the set button '1' or '2' till you hear confirmation sound.

5. At this point your memory seat should be restored back to the original day one condition when you collected your car from the dealer.

I was told the same thing by my SE (perhaps we were served by the same person). No black & white given. Requested contact from SE and  went ahead to install both reverse camera + Active Info Display 2 weeks upon collection.

bro can pm the price for the Active info display ?

Hi all, was wondering if anybody has experienced a loud mechanical noise when turning the steering wheel at low speeds. Also, during normal servicing at Volkswagen, what is covered under their service package? Thanks in advance

Hi

Just finish 3 foc servicing.

AD pestered to take up pkg for  60k, 75k& 90k km but  only 25% off parts.

I was surprised he insisted no auto transmission oil change needed !

brakepads & brake disc are wear & tear will be extra.
