The article showed SPL to be dragging its feet in providing the recall parts. My understanding is that the parts would have been FOC fr Honda, and Honda would not have initiated a recall without getting the parts ready. So who is lying?

According to an internal document, the company had already bought some new Vezels when Honda issued a recall for fuel-powered models on Apr 4, 2016, advising owners to get them serviced as soon as possible.

An internal Uber report showed that two days later, Uber bought 100 Vezels from a Singapore-based dealer, Sunrita. Sunrita sent Uber notices of the recall on May 5, estimating it would replace the affected parts by August's end, according to documents seen by the WSJ.

The report alleged that over the following eight months, Uber bought thousands of cars from Sunrita and other dealers, including 1,065 additional new Vezels with the faulty electrical part.

Sunrita had not fixed the cars it sold Uber as of the end of August 2016, citing a shortage of replacement parts in emails to Uber. The company also periodically sent emails asking Sunrita to speed up that process but continued to rent faulty cars to drivers, emails show. An Uber spokeswoman was quoted as saying Sunrita had not provided replacement parts.

As of this January, all of Uber's still-defective Vezels were rented to drivers, the report said.

So if a multi million dollar buyer has trouble getting its recall rectified, wonder individual buyer how?

May I know your sauce of this info? I have learnt to be more skeptical after seeing how Trump can plug data from thin air to support his argument.

If true, do you think Uber will be able to cite this publicly to argue its case? It will look very stupid for someone to point this obvious fact out to its team of lawyers. Sunrita should have laid out the facts that it had done its share by requesting for the recall parts from its Principals in japan but not given due to shortage of the parts. Has it?

I second that, I had to wait for more than a year for my takada airbag module for my previous 07 Wrx.

For Takada recall, I think all can understand as millions of cars are involved, so need to schedule.

But really sucks right when you have to wait for more than a year, reading how dangerous the faulty module can be and keep worrying a car might hit from behind to trigger it.

A bad PI does not mean all PIs are bad? How do you draw a conclusion?

Uber / Lion City Rental under probe by CPIB.
Wow this thing is getting more interesting by the minute.
Firstly, they manufactured some charged against SPL... and now their are in trouble themselves for the same incident.

News just out today about police (CPIB) investigation regarding corruption about how LCR Uber buys / acquires cars.

The fact that they overbought and can't rent it out and now have to cut loss by dumping in the second hand market is a different subject.
