Need some info

Hi, I need some info from you guys.

 

I am buying a car from a dealer (have already paid down payment last week)

 

So now I can collect the car in a few days time.

I am going to give him a cashier order and he will hand over the car.

 

But he said, the ownership can only be transferred a few days later.

Is this normal practice?
