Wah guys.. Opel E.O - you mean now outside dont sell ?

Dexos 2 EO is readily available in the market but not as optimal as Dexos 1 Gen 2 (slated to be in mass market end of year) as stated on the service bulletin a few weeks ago.

Wed just sent for 1k "inspection".

Waited like 2 hours and still not ready. I asked the guy behind the desk how long it usually takes. He said usually 1K inspection takes only 1 hour, but why it took so long is because waiting for my car's turn for cash wash... told him no need as it is pouring outside.

Took the key and drove off.

First thing I realised was that the throttle position is different. Before the inspection, lightly step on the throttle the car will surge forward. After inspection, some how the throttle position is now lower.

May be it is my OCD.

Also. I realised that the speedo is not symmetrical. From 0 to 60, every major mark denotes an increase of 10km/h. After 60 every major mark denotes 20km/h increment???  [confused]

And after 150, 30km/h! I would have preferred to have the 10km/h until about 100km/h and end point at 200km/h.

Finally got the news that my new ride has been registered & can be collected this coming Sat!

The new plate is SJPxxx (3 digit number) but as I already decided to retain my current number, this will have to go to my current ride.

While excited to be getting hold of my new ride in less than 2 days time... also abit sad that i'll be parting with my current ride that's with me for the last 8 yrs... Anyway, looking forward in joining the Opel's gang  [laugh]  [laugh]  [laugh]  & hope to have a blasting time with the car in the years ahead!

Cos overseas astra got 1.6 turbo variant so the increments in the speedo usually will be made for the highest power variant... Not forgetting there is still the OPC GTC version yet to come out

What about the 1.4 hb?

If i'm not wrong, the 1.4 hb is typically 13k more than the 1.0 hb... so it should be $105,888.

I think this is probably the lowest price for the Astra...

Probably the best bang for the buck at this price too.

Comparing a 1.0 tourer with ford focus 1.0t sedan, i feel the latter is a better buy with a lower depreciation and better spec car. Also, the focus comes with a traditional auto and higher bhp which some may prefer.
