Happened to have an opportunity to view the stinger up close in the showroom. Beautiful is understated. Even when still,it creates a speedy impression. Interior was better than what I expected. I dare say comparable to most conti cars in same category. Suppose many of u have been enjoying your cars for some time. To me,car price is high but not unattainable compared to some contis such as the 4 series or Audi Sportback S5. Very very impressed though did not test drive.

U should test drive the car. You'll be doubly impressed haha. And I agree with you, it is priced non logically. That's why is it difficult to sell in our brand bias market. The value of money is not well spent. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing the car, i absolutely love the Stinger GT Line, almost bought it 3 months back. In the year, i held on to my current car and didn't change. haha

I wasn't offered to test drive. Perhaps I dun look sincere enough. But I might really seriously look into this car if the conditions are right.

I just asked for the test drive. The SEs are hard up to sell the car. Don't be put off by them, if they don't allow test drive, then don't bother buying cos it is their loss, not yours. But seriously it is a good car! But I won't seriously, I won't pay anything above 148k for the 2.0L. hahaha It is just me, cos the value of money is not pegged correctly for this car. Don't flame me ah.  [laugh]

Skoda RS245. Below 140k even. As fast as Stinger

Personally for me I don't go for safe choices like the A4. Not because it is not a good car. It is but the Stinger somehow evoke a strong passion to drive it. Many times buying a car in this segment is a emotional decision. Currently $167k is too pricey for me too. I am driving a S5 sportback previous model which expires in 2020. That's why I gravitate towards Stinger.

Just to share. when COE was 38k in Mar, Stinger ex stocks was going at $153999, taking into consideration the additional discount of 5k for the C&C 120 years celebration. So just wait for the COE to drop and you can go in for the ex stocks. I believe they have not sold much of their ex stocks.  [:)]

Thanks bro for your advice. Yes if they are sincere in moving stocks, they will listen to the ground sentiments. Not that they cannot earn but they should strike a balance between profitability and raising brand profile.

Totally agree with you. I know they want to market the Stinger as a premium and upmarket model. But frankly, if they overpriced it, how to gain a market share in the premium car category. This is not Mercedes, it does sell by itself haha. So they probably need to tweak their marketing strategy and have a good balance of sales vs premium branding.

It’s not a small difference. 133k vs 168k.

DSG is also great for fast cars. This is the wet one. Not the problematic dry one.

Seems to me most of u are in process of still deciding or for the right market conditions. Anyone who have driven the stinger for some time? Can share some noteworthy aspects of the car from a end user perspective?:)

The design of Skoda Octavia RS245 not as nice as Kia Stinger in my opinion. At least I don't feel the racing passion in there. While many will value the engine and other features of a car, there's also a price to pay for good design.
