1fast1 Supersonic April 27, 2017 Share April 27, 2017 (edited) This thread has really skewed off on a tangent. But since we're discussing cash cards, I think fewer of us are keeping big money in them, as we've gone to vcashcard. I find that really, really convenient. The first time driving through an active gantry without a card inside (on purpose)... But damn if it don't work. Myxilplix Turbocharged April 27, 2017 Share April 27, 2017 Nothing fancy mate, just looking for a really cheap used manual car (as a third car) to scratch a sudden itch for a stick. I was out test driving a very slightly modded (LTA legal exhaust and not much else) Suzuki Swift Sport. Reasonably peppy car for the capacity. Issue is that "true" small sports cars are just too small, lol. I can't even get into the Elise with the top on. The Miata is a very tight squeeze (I was close to a deal on one, but decided against it as my thigh was rubbing against the steering). Ideal car would be a GT86/BRZ that's manual, but there's none in the market now. I'm also waiting for the prices to fall more, I really don't want to spend too much on a pure indulgence which will be driven maybe once a week. Funny enough i was doing the same the other day, looking at cheap manual cars online. Those swift sports do look tempting for a spot of hooniganism.

Those swift sports do look tempting for a spot of hooniganism. Haha, they are fun. Not fast, but quite fun to toss around. Anyway, I'm in no hurry, still looking around. I also viewed a couple of older manual 3-series models - an E30 316i and an E36 320i. Even though I expected the latter to be much better, the former was (surprisingly) a more engaging drive. The E36 had been stroked out and had some kind of horrible aftermarket clutch installed. Despite the (very ah beng) salesguy claiming it was 200hp, it felt somewhat less responsive than the 316i with a stock block. Disappointing. Jamesc Hypersonic April 27, 2017 Share April 27, 2017 I shudder to think if there is a BMW driver, who supports manu and lives in yishun ↡ Advertisement
