Hi Guy

if you look at google map, check out the SPC petrol along west coast  and pasi panjang CC line, the exit out of this petrol station is in transit zone . If the traffic turns red.. can you tcome out of the station and turn left?

thanks

I also pump as this SPC Kiosk, I also have the same question like you previously.  My conclusion is that I can turn left, as the exit of the kiosk is after the stop line of red light junction.   However you need to be careful to give way to crossing pedestrians and look out for the right-turn vehicles as well.

Hmm.. is this a 'lifehack' question?

as in,you do not want to stop when red and drive in and exit the petrol station?

Dun really understand your question. There is a left turn sign on the road.

If you cannot exit by turning left then how you exit?

Cos the arrow at petrol station exit is left turn only. And there is no stop line so it should be OK.

i think all petrol kiosks have no stop line. the compound belong to the station so i dont think LTA can put white line.

i think his concern is when the traffic is red for him to turn left , he may bang with the traffic coming from the opposite direction which is green.

The SPC is located at a T-junction.  Its entrance is before a signalized light while the exit is after.

So when the light turns red along pasir panjang road, logically you can easily turn out into the main road as all the cars will stop. However, there will be cars turning right to join pasir panjang road which is obscured by the photo here, I draw a green arrow to show you where the traffic is coming from, thus you need to watch out for those vehicles.

To add to the confusion after you turn out of SPC, you will be greeted with the tall signalized light less than 15m away.   Thus you may wonder if you are govern by the red light or not.

To me, the tall signalized light is meant for the vehicles behind the stop line (where the taxi is).  I will just go .... of course after giving way to crossing pedestrians.

Yah kind of design prob. Should have just switch the entry and exit of petrol station so the exit will be before stopping line. Otherwise its a dangerous intersection

Same thoughts too.

Maybe the reason is during peak period. Cars queuing up will block up the exit.

Given the large group of motorist do not understand the purpose of yellow box. It will be a bottleneck effect.

Probably easier access by the fuel truck in current configuration.

Then create a yellow box with a LTA officer during peak hour. Huat ah haha
