Yewheng Twincharged February 7, 2019 Share February 7, 2019 By the time your new cashcard expires 5 years from now, the next gen ERP would have started and we might not need cashcards anymore. We still need cash card to exit carpark. So it will not go away anytime soon. ↡ Advertisement

Johnnylim 5th Gear February 13, 2019 Share February 13, 2019 Aiyah, just use normal cash card with chip loh. No need Simi stylo flashpay.. I think it's more benefitial for Malaysia car which got no IU. Anyway, validity of 5yrs is a long time. Upon expired, just go to any bank for full refund of balance amount.. I don't go to bank often, so I will do that just before CNY, when withdraw new notes. Hassle free. I tot go ATM refund can liao.

LawY 1st Gear February 13, 2019 Share February 13, 2019 Well, you get a card worth $5! I am still waiting for them to give me an answer... Still waiting... Care to give details? From experience, I am very happy with it except some older carpark that refuse to take it. Hi Nets is the sole provider for the cashcard. When my chip based card was going to expire in Nov, I tried to get the chip based card but was told that there is no more chip based card and all carparks use the new cashcard(with no chip). When i was stuck in the carparks a few times, i got the agent to check the IU unit and it was in working order. So i called nets to ask them to replace the cash card with one that will work. As they are the only provider in singapore, they have to resolve the issue or i will file a complaint. If you are facing the same issue i think you have to talk to them. Because of this situation, they told me that they will check with the ESSO station which i purchased the cash card to ensure that the chip based card is still available until they can get all the older carparks to upgrade they equipment. I hope this helps.

kopfan 3rd Gear February 18, 2019 Author Share February 18, 2019 Today I was stuck at another carpark in one of the building along new industrial Rd. When I am entering the carpark, the machine do have sign with tap out using contactless, flashpay, etc, so I entered. Problem occurred when trying to exit. After a few minutes of debate with the attendant, the Gantry is lifted and I get out without paying.
