Singapore's property market can withstand the impact of Covid-19

(The majority of residential sellers are expected to be able to withstand downward price pressure. Buyer demand for homes remains healthy and could resurface as pent-up demand when the epidemic is over.)

Agree, units getting smaller ... but property prices keep going higher.

Which is also why I've often mention ... 'go resale for better value'

Be it HDB/PTE resale offers more space yet for less money ... more bang for the buck.

:D

We Ranked Every District By How Much They’ve Gained (Or Lost) – Here Are The Results

Interesting read

However, many confounding factors, so ranking and profits/losses need to look at individual factors or development

For e.gs,

D2 drop in price (2600 to 2300pfs) over 4 years, do not take in account the floor as these CBD condos are mostly skyscrapers (10th floor vs 60th floor), price difference is huge

D13 price, changed because of  recent transactions of 2 units etc

Learn the term "endowment"

"Beat the ‘Endowment’ Effect

If you haven’t already heard about it, the ‘endowment effect’ is a common scenario in which someone refuses to part with any of his/her possessions due to emotional bias."

Thought read somewhere some gurus are saying,

the best properties are to be kept and never to be sold.

Thanks for sharing. Diff ppl diff perspectives and approach on profit/loss factors, for me always good to see (read) things from another angle, maybe can learn a thing or two 😉

"the best properties are to be kept and never to be sold." - in expensive SG with ever rising property prices, probably right but must be FH 😛

Here's another look on property prices in 2010/2019 for the diff districts-
