The price on my new car is already fixed based on my trading in my car. 

Whatever quote is given by the 2nd hand dealer to the AD does not concern me at all.

what my friend did before car kena "makaned" by AD is...

 

he drove to JB WS stayed 2 days and do 1 to 1 swopping there

 

he told me worth the effort cos his car very good condition plus many Mods done too

 

nearly 3k sgd recovered plus 1 foc spa for himself 

 

my case ppsl only allow me to remove my ACE dashcam(written on sales memo)

I bought the DA Pristinum woofers and tweeters used, 10 years back. Re-installed them in my current car 4 years ago. Still going strong. But I doubt it has much value left now, they are no longer in the market.

Amps can last quite long as well, my amp was new 10 years back, still going strong in my current car as well.

Head unit and dash cam, seriously not worth much.

Assuming you can get $500 for all these, the cost to de-kit and fit replacement HU and speakers would probably cost you around $200 in labour costs, not including the cost of the parts.

Worth it only if you can de-kit it yourself. I de-kitted my amp, speakers and car cam from my previous car, and paid an installer to install the amp and speakers in my current car.

yea... but if u do nothing, u dont get a single cent. So still have to dekit, only earn less.

AD wont bother what you took out meh? If like this can find workshop to "salvage" the parts that can sell and tow the car to AD lor.

Then can resell

a) Rims and tyres to damn lousy and give to dealer
b) Dash cam is wired le take out like not easy. Try sell in carousell first lor
c) Head unit also like take out not easy. Likely need buyer to on u in carousell or what first then find the "contacts" to help at a fee.

 

For me, I only upgrade rims when i sold the old one away.
Headunit i keep the old one to scrap or just put back if I wana keep the existing one. LOL

Aiya, let him be. Anyway it's not AD dont care. AD just lias with a used car dealer. Whether they care the HU and speakers are missing TS will know soon enough. If he's lucky he will get away, if not he will be chased after to cough out something. This is life.

Since he want to get back some cash, it's ok but it will be troublesome for that little bit of cash. Unless like ppl say DIY. He will be paying for labour cost. Nothing is free. Maybe the audio ppl will remind him that a replacement HU and speakers are needed or maybe they too wont care. LoL...

Ppl wont listen until they go thru it. Just let him be and give him an address.

- Buy a set of used steel rims and tyres to install and remove your existing ones 

- Head unit

- Spare tyre and kit

- Cabin floor mats

From what I read, TS just started a thread asking for advice with no head no tail. Den after further probing, he decided to post some info on what he can dekit and could possibly sell for some money.

He seemed already fixed on what he wants to do. Ownself answer ownself. Even trade-in price he also wanna argue no quote. What I can guess is probably AD or their second-hand car dealer (depending on which AD where TS dun even want to say, e.g. C&C has their own dealer which is Republic Auto) offered him scrap value. The trade-in price probably already deducted from new car price and on top of that he gets a 1k discount bah. Even Honda 'chao ti' (smelly metal) also got $500 maybe for the body haha. His almost 10-year B&B car but aftermarket fitted stuff meaning he should know some stuff on these and how much he could sell them for.

His answers are quite 'hard' and straight to the point hitting every questions. Maybe its his character. But I find it intrusive for someone asking for advice. 

To me, iRoad Q9, Pioneer 5050 is not even flagship models. Unless you have ready buyers/friends who wants to take over, or audio shop has buyers ready for it they can take-in, sell at a little profit which in-turn gives you a half-bake working set to you. On top of that, need to pay labour unless you are a big spender with them or going back to them with your new car and do ICE. The speakers maybe a collectors item but only ppl who appreciate them values them. 

Just my 2 cents worth of comments. I'm not Ramesh too. Just a simple Chinese guy who drives and Singapore and enjoys driving, sharing info here with drivers bros. Cheers.

No matter very old or no demand. 

Then they put on sale and long time also never sell.

Yes I wasn't absolutely clear in my original post, but I just wanted to know if anyone has tried to fix in cheapo parts before trade in and where they get their cheapo equipment from. If you have not done this, then dun pour scorn on others attempting it. 

My 10yr old car body if sold to exporter is not more than $500. But AD entice me to trade in to them so that I can get 1k off the new car price. So which one would you take? Since there are some equipment that is better than those basic models in my old car, why not take them out and sell then replace with the basic stuff. All in all labour + 2nd hand units could cost me $100+, but the equipment dekitted can easily sell for $500+.

3k Solid leh. If nv dekit, the car dealer will be super happy lor. Free stuff for them.
