car price drop, you place order, coe up during the next bid, cannot secure coe 😭

Not only that, if coe drop, sometime they reduce less than the drop to increase their profit margin when coe is low

Only some bids. I believe these are people hoping to win lucky draw. The dealers (and price movement) don't appear until Wednesday afternoon.

If you've already bought, you can hope that COE is $1 and your COE rebate kicks in.

The successful bids are the first highest bidders above 979?

And the successful bid price is the 978th from highest price down ?

What are the factors that will affect the bidding price ?

Thank you.

Check out the 'How the COE open bidding system works' section.

I think u are referring to Cat A. Yes. Basically 987th bidder price + $1 (based on list of bid prices sorted by descending order).

Thanks for replying.

I am refering to Cat A, 978.

Erm, so it is the highest Unsuccessful bid price (no. 979 for Cat A) plus $1 will be the final COE price, correct?

I suppose we are not able to see the 979th price but the highest bid price during the bidding process. So once bidding closed, COE price should be lower than the highest bid price, right ?

What I understand is yes. Highest bids are usually very high so we wont know what it was (except the bidder and the car purchase where he can see what the AD bidded).
