And those cockroaches that I found inside cars are small ones and and not the size like those in kitchens or rubbish dump areas etc.

I think it is because of their small sizes that such cockroaches managed to enter the car somehow, somewhere, sometime.

Unless there is a queen cockroach inside the car and those small ones are the offsprings.

Roaches inside the car usually are small ones la, if you find those big size roaches then scary liao. Lol. But even your car is clean or dont eat in the car, you still can find small size roaches inside the car de. But maybe lesser than those car who is dirty la.

Done fumigation twice on the same car I owned, a year apart. Note that fumigation process will not guarantee the unhatched eggs are eliminated - you could fumigate the car this week, and next week the eggs hatch again, and another vicious cycle starts all over again.

Note also that sticky traps will only trap the newborn roach - those lvl 99 roach fully matured and with golden wings will not go for those traps or baits you set.

Do not eat in your car, do not bring dapao food into your car. If you must, set aircon circulation mode to external, and unwind windows to get rid of the food scent.

Oh and whatever nonsense people say - "you can leave your car somewhere very hot! They sure all escape one!" - these guys obviously never dealt with an infestation before...

Anything else, just drop a message and ask away.

I think it must be where you park.

If you park in a place with no roaches then how can it get into your car?

The  trapped roaches...

Dead small cockcroach-WA0012.jpg

This trap works for the gullible roaches. I laid this one for 2 weeks, and then for 2 days straight when I saw no new roaches the next morning, I thought I was out of the woods.

Then I sent my car for fumigation, and all the "lvl 99" adult roaches with golden/striped wings came out in the dozens...

So don't lay these traps and think you will eliminate even 99% of the roaches in your car - those that get trapped are just the tip of the iceberg.

If I smoke my car with this thingy, the cockroaches will run out right? They won't just be dead still inside the car right?

Look at it this way, cockroaches could literally outlive us in the event of a nuclear holocaust. Whoever manages to come up with a solution to deter cockroaches would be a very rich man.

May not run out since they can hide deep inside the gap in your car. Lol.

Depends on how close they are when u set it off in your vehicle. Place it on the floor, remove all mats.

Most may just die inside the nook and crannies in your vehicle.

Use a fireproof receptacle like a small biscuit tin or a porcelain bowl to hold the smoke bomb so that if it melts or catches fire, it won't burn your whole car down.

The thing I dislike about these smoke bombs is the smoke sticks as an oily residue to your car afterwards. The stench may linger in your vehicle up to 3 weeks too.

No. 6 (Bay Leaves), 7 (catnip)  and 12 (lemon) seems very feasible as they act as repellants rather than poison.

What I want in the first place is to repel the cockroaches, deterring them from entering the car in the first place.

Has a family of cockroaches made your home, its own? Have roaches literally taken over all that you could once call your own--but can't anymore? Have they infested your existence and well, the food items in your refrigerator with all their cockroach-ness?

If you nodded in agreement to even one of the above-mentioned statements, then it might be time to take the reins of you house, in your own hands.

Pay heed to these 6 simple tips and keep your life and house cockroach free.

Soap
Something as simple as spraying soap water on cockroaches can haunt their existence. Pouring a soap solution on cockroaches blocks their pores and kills them instantly.

Lemon
This citric fruit might do wonders for your health, but it certainly isn't a friend of the cockroach clan. The smell of lemons repels cockroaches to a great extent, keeping them away from areas that reek of the fruit. Hence, it is advisable to mop floors with water that has a few lemon drops in it.

Pepper, Garlic and Onion solution
Readily available in almost every kitchen, a combination of these three items is bound to horrify the cockroaches that reside in the nooks and crannies of your house. Crush a clove of garlic and half an onion in a bowl and finish by adding some pepper and water to the mixture. Put some on the counter mop and wipe down the counter at night before shutting off the kitchen.

Listerine
If Listerine makes you feel the way it does, imagine what it could do to those tiny (or not so tiny) cockroaches. Mixing Listerine with some soap and water will help you prepare the ultimate weapon of mass cockroach destruction.

Cucumber
If the previously mentioned tricks are way too tedious for you--just go ahead and eat a cucumber. "How is that going to kill cockroaches?" we almost hear you say. To which our answer would be--cockroaches dislike the smell of cucumbers, hence keeping its peels or slices on kitchen counters will ensure their absence from your house.

Try these now, thank us later.

@DOBIEMKZ Boss, you keep posting these articles and findings like you're very desperate. 😞

You have a very bad infestation problem is it? If there's roaches appearing even in broad daylight then your roach problem should be pretty bad.. Best to pass over to a fumigation expert and let them handle the first round...

My current old car does seems to have a roach problem; might to due to some places that I had parked that have roaches.

Hence I used those small cockroach traps that I posted earlier and show the picture of some trapped roaches. But seeing advice and suggestion here I will go for fumigation of the current old car.

But I am also going to buy a new car some time, hence I want to repel and deter cockroaches in the first place rather than trying to deal with intruded roaches.

For mine, I got the keys for about a month with no problem. Then roaches appeared in broad daylight once. Then, another appeared 2 days later.

Laid the traps for 2 weeks - went roach-hunting every single night from 12mn - 2am until I didn't catch a single roach for 2 days straight. Damned happy, thought I song song gao Jurong...

Then one day decided to tear out my rear panels at the boot - farking hell it was like Starship Troopers back there - eggs embedded in the sound proofing foam... So I tore it all out coz it was useless to pick the eggs out one by one with tweezers.

Obviously the infestation already was there when I gotten the keys from the dealer...

Then 2 weeks later sent for fumigation and all the roaches came out... (few dozen caught dead).

Somehow that solved the problem for about a year and I started getting mysterious dead roaches appearing in the middle of my car floor.

Sent to fumigate one more time (it was a whole year later) - and a few more came out (less than a dozen).

Thought it was not a viable solution to keep sending it for professional fumigation, so I went down the DIY fumigation path...

So far so good, though I get the occasional dead roach appearing in the middle of my car floor still - presumably it tried to nest inside my car after my DIY fumigation and perhaps came into contact with the pesticide.
