I stood outside Millenia Walk during Inaugural Singapore GP without earplug during free practise.

After 10mins, I can't hear anything for 30mins.

You could hear the race while standing along Orchard Road - what more needs to be said?

I won ticket twice from office lottery.

2nd time was trackside ticket.

As I was traveling for holiday, I exchanged it with a colleague.

That colleague gave me his NICO T-shirt.

I'll wear the NICO T-Shirt and watch F1 Live on TV

First GP, I was in the VIP hospitality suites above the pits. Bi mistake, the cars zoom down the strait so fast that I could not see anything besides the car colour. Second GP, I took seats at turn 2 and 3 stands. This time at least can see the drivers as they were forced to slow down to navigate the series of corners. After these 2 races, no more attend in person. Watch on TV.

Many moons ago, won 2 tickets from office lottery to have dinner at Waterboat House and watch F1.

Dinner started an hour before flag-off.

10minutes before race start, we were ushered to trackside seat.

During the entire race, free flow of dessert, coffee, water and alcohol.

This is the version I prefer, but never had ...... so far.

I was standing at Esplanade Mall the first race, popping in and out of Harry's.

The guys on the other side would have been about 4ft from the cars on the racing line - there was virtually no gap between the wall and walkabout area. Problem was, with the racing line next to that wall, cars were invisible below the height of the wall.

For the first race, there was very little spacing back to people standing, which needed changed the following year. That was the year, also, it was possible to climb to the top of Marina Bay Grandstand and look down on the cars as they exited the "tunnel". It was great, but really stupid - it would have been so easy do drop a phone, for example, when taking a photo and smash it onto a driver with really good timing. I was too scared to try taking photos in case it would have been me, but plenty did.

how can Sepang's track standard be worse than a street circuit? they've redesigned a couple of off-camber corners which makes it even more interesting. Got stadium lights too.

Agreed, the track itself may be okay but the facilities were already pretty poor even when F1 stopped going. I doubt they are maintained and with just 4-months left, there is both little time and little inclination to spend any money.

For the MotoGP, their ticket prices are much lower, and let's say, a different kind of spectator 😄

For watching the race, as a race, TV is still best.

Sitting in the grandstand, I was still watching the big screen and the TV coverage, just with no commentary or idea WTF was going on. I gave up on race day and typically go for Saturday only.

Sepang was a bit different, from F-Grandstand opposite the hairpin, can see half the circuit's overtaking points - obviously excluding T1.

Agree. No commentary nor portable device that shows positions, I did not even know who was in the lead and who was last, after the pit-stops started.

For sheer spectacle and bravery of the drivers and riders, my vote goes to Macau's Guia circuit. They take Mandarin Oriental kink flat-out top speed inches from the wall. While the casino corner is full of blood-thirsty spectators waiting for the inevitable first corner crash. Then a loud cheer goes up. The F3 drivers and motorcyclist racers have balls of steel to go at those speeds inches from the concrete barriers or armco along the narrow track.

I always have access to the F1-App, which is good enough to follow a lot of stuff but means three places to look...... track/big screen/app. Difficult.

Inaugural v8 was very very loud. My former office around clarke quay could hear loud and clear that some staff packed up as too loud. Nowadays no sound.

Looks like scalpers already bought a lot this morning. Must be same moonswatch crew.

Unlikely.

It will be among track that has an existing contract.

From a scheduling perspective, it is either European track, Qatar or Singapore

Ya... the issue is it has to be back to back double-bill... F1 Sg + F1 Temasek... but must tahan 1 month closure.

Personally, I would go to a SG event the week before if, as they speculate, it will start a few hours earlier.

With my boy about to start O-Level I don't want him out late on a Sunday night race, but a week earlier and an earlier time slot, would work.

And.....with so many tickets already sold for the main event, it could be easier getting tickets for an additional one if there are a few that won't buy both and spent their COVID savings already.

My former work place (Millenia Tower) almost next to the track.
