I think for the lower end models (f40, f44) bmw-asia uplift the eqpt level, but dun bother about drive train.

So you get the lowest 116/216, and at the other end of the spectrum the 135/235. But interior the difference is minimal, and all come with digital cockpit, large screen, nav, tpms, etc. some also have electronic tailgate.

Homologate highest spec. After homo, take out can, put in cannot.
