too204 Clutched April 3 Share April 3 anyone experience rattling in the cabin? I notice some rattling sound coming from the driver side but can't really pin point the exact location. Went back to the dealer..they were able to replicate the sound but needed to remove all many panels to try and find the cause (which is a huge effort). Just wondering, will you all just live with the sound (i.e. turn on the music)? I'm hesitating because might introduce more rattling during the removal and installation..and also it's a new car, don't want to tear down all the panels. Found the following curve on the BYD blade battery - not sure if it's the same one used in the D9, but the main point is the number of cycles the LFP battery can go through before reaching 70% State of Health (SoH). Note each cycle represents a full discharge (i.e. O% on the battery) and full charge (i.e. battery reaching 100%). So if you've done a charge of 50% to 100%, that's counted only as a 0.5 cycle. Doing two 50% to to 100% charges is counted as one cycle and not two. With real world range of 480kms on 100% charge of the battery and with a minimum of 3,000 cycles available on BYD's blade battery before reaching 70% SoH, the D9 can do at least 1,008,000 kms before thinking about replacing the battery pack. I.e. driving at least 50,400km per year for the next 20 years (or two CoE cycles) before getting worried about the battery pack. Most LFP batteries can do between 3,000 to 5,000 cycles before reaching 70% SoH. Was trying to find out the number of cycles on my kaki's BYD's M6 has gone through while doing a test drive. Both of us were scratching our heads on where to find this data on the touch screen's battery section. Was hoping you'd be able to find this on the D9 thus I can let my kaki know about it. @Chipsahoy8919 found out how to find the State of Health (SoH) on the battery for BYD vehicles - believe this is applicable to the Denza brand and the D9. Need to grab an ODB2 scanner and plug it into the port. Use the mobile app that comes with the ODB2 scanner to check the details of the battery. Some available OBD2 scanners are mentioned in Car and Driver review here: https://www.caranddriver.com/car-accessories/g42938164/best-obd2-car-scanners-tested/. There's lots available from Amazon. Saw someone use it on their BYD Seal sedan after doing 23,000 kms (approximately one year of use) and the battery State of Health (SoH) is around 98.4%! Was surprised on how little the battery had degraded after travelling such a distance.

The issue was fixed at SIME (told me they tightened the door hinge or something) but now it is back again. I have learnt to live with it till the next servicing. For EVs, it is very hard to 'unhear' the rattling sound once you noticed it, or you can turn the music up to drown out the rattling.
too204 Clutched April 4 Share April 4 @Chipsahoy8919 you are right! I placed my ear near the seat belt adjuster area and it is obvious that the sound is coming from that area..will wait for upcoming 5k servicing to fix it. The thing that bugs me the most is not knowing where the sound is coming from.
Annapurna 1st Gear April 4 Share April 4 (edited) Finally my D9 has exceeded the 1k km milestone - 1093km today, exactly a month after my collection from Harmony Auto. The "Cumulative Average Electricity Consumption" is 20.7 kwh/100 km. That is about 497 km on a full charge. Not bad as we have spent quite alot of idling time playing with the car functions. too204 Clutched April 5 Share April 5 (edited) @Annapurna me too. I just reached the 1k milestone. My cumulative average electricity consumption is 18kwh/100km. The numbers may vary between users depending on the driving habits but largely it goes to show that the energy consumption is reasonably good given the size and weight of the car. These are good data points for anyone considering the denza. Edited April 5 by too204

Do you have a pic of the instrument cluster? Didn't notice any change on my side. Also, if there is no OTA, the cluster display shouldn't change but itself? Sbc55 1st Gear April 7 Share April 7 I didnt receive any new update before the graphic changed and the karaoke app still pending installation, cant really install.
Chipsahoy8919 2nd Gear April 8 Author Share April 8 For the blue instrument cluster screen, the only time I encountered this was when I pressed the rain/snow mode button which is below the 'Start/Power On/Off' button. Once that button is pressed, the screen color becomes blue in color (compared to the default orange/brown background). Not sure if you had accidentally pressed the rain/snow button? chuanyan128 2nd Gear April 9 Share April 9 (edited) @Sbc55 Hi, The instrument cluster background image changes when you change the centre screen theme. It is not a new update. As for the Karaoke app, same here the installation never ends. Edited April 9 by chuanyan128
chuanyan128 2nd Gear April 9 Share April 9 @Annapurna Hi. You must be enjoying the foot pedal quite a bit which is absolutely understandable. My Cumulative average is 19.6kwh/100km, about 527km. I'm driving the AWD Grandeur version. Regen on high, massage almost always on on driver side and all 4 are turn on when ferrying family. Hardly on ECO mode, mostly Normal and once awhile in Sports for extra fun. 100% happy with the consumption given Grandeur WLTP is 480km.
Sbc55 1st Gear April 9 Share April 9 (edited) @chuanyan128 Thanks for the update. This one must be added after the last update because the instrument cluster graphic never change prior to this. Edited April 9 by Sbc55
Annapurna 1st Gear April 10 Share April 10 @chuanyan128 Most of the time, probably 80% or more is my wife doing the driving. Our Regen is set on Standard. Massage chairs, seat ventilation is always on and all the time on Normal mode. Maybe I should try to set Regen on High and see whether it improves. ↡ Advertisement
