(edited)

How do you guys link the VEP RFID tag to your TnG eWallet?

I checked my VEP registration (done in 2023 and tag showed on VEP website to be issued and activated) is done using my Singapore IC and TnG eWallet is registered using my Passport number. Is that the reason why I don't have a way to link the two?

BTW, my VEP RFID tag is one that they mailed to me and I pasted it on my headlight kind.

Linkage is auto.

If not linked, the tag won't be activated, IIRC.

You need to move your TnG e-wallet to be NRIC registered to match that of the VEP registration in order for the link between the 2 to be made automatically...

Nothing to contribute but wanna to lament.

Why choose  a system thats way beyond their capabilities? Hardware, software or brainware.

you need login to vepams. at the login page, try do the reset password. they will send you an password reset link via email.

Doesn’t work for me. Can’t login at all to vepams with same email and pw. Tried to use reset password but got “please enter valid email address” error. Email to aduanvep 3 times liao after almost 2 wks no response. Malaysia really boleh.

@Dafansu I left old tag behind is for illustration purpose, i.e. new one can paste around that area also. Old one has since been removed.

Please note that after new one's status in TCSEnS has shown been activated, it will take about 10 working days for Touch n Go e-wallet to link-up with new VEP and RFID.  Touch n Go will drop you a message when done.

Log in Touch n Go and you will notice your old Tag ID E2C06A .......2xx has been changed to new Tag ID E2C06A .......8xx

My TnG is registered with my passport number instead.

I think now they want all to be NRIC registered... they rather stupidly didn't realize that registration via passport means that it would keep changing... whereas the NRIC doesn't... if the VEP is meant to prevent crime then tagging it to the passport doesn't matter much cos one can always get a new one... unlike an ID although some countries don't practise issuing national IDs...

I think all along is NRIC, since the first time they started the previous tag, those with passport doesn't work if I'm not wrong

So how does one change the passport number in the TnG app to NRIC?

Then why allow passport if NRIC should be the correct ID used? And worse, allow a mixture...

Got to write in to them... then send in scans of your passport and NRIC for verification and then it will be effected... I think like that... unless they allow the change now within the app... the last time for my Dad we did it this way...
