Jeffrey is “Acting”

Indranee is 2nd Minister.

A Casio and Latio is by choice, but if used to show how rooted he is, he should also be staying in an HDB, but alas… he is staying in Thomson Landed area… 

How many honest to God Latio and Casio users stay in Landed property, much less Thomson district

Anyway, my observations:

1) Surprised not much changes overall. Guess stability is important to LW.

2) Those that did move around, more or less as expected. Army kia CCS in MINDEF, Kong Hee lawyer Edwin in MinLaw. Again, LW seems to value stability and career expertise.

3) This poor Jeffery, first time then kena MOT. God bless him. :D

Brought back role of coordinating ministars (3x), not something new as prev Khaw Boon Wan had a coodinating minister role as well
Since there's only one deputy PM announced
If LW, deputy GKY on leave of absence, LW mentioned he'll be getting any of these coordinating to be deputy
Lagi more stable!

There’s a difference between appointment and rank.

sometimes, people ascend to the appointment first, due to exigencies and/or the cycle for rank promotion is not reached yet.

for eg: some OCs are still LTA before they get promoted to CPT.

A newly appointed CDF is still a 2-star general before eventually going 3-star.

CHT was SMS when he took on the Acting Transport Minister role in place of the disgracefu Iswaran, and when Iswaran was convicted and stripped of his appointment, CHT was then promoted to full Minister.

Similarly, both JS and DN are newbies and not that senior enough in their previous roles to be given the appt of a full minister yet. So they are SMS in rank (a deputy minister) but full minister in appointment (as acting minister)

In a year or two, if they don’t cock up, I’d expect them to be promoted to full minister.

Its not the car, as its a choice.

But using it to receive foreign dignitaries is not suitable.

It may mistakenly trigger diplomatic incidents due to cultural misunderstanding
