Belts i changed it at 55k already.. so shdn't be a problem. How abt spark plugs? i think i changed my once at abt 40k? Using Iridium. Air filter? Need to take out and clean? Using K&N

May I know how much they charge you? did u c Dennis? What oil did you choose

or they choose for you? What kind of oil filter did you change to?

They use Castrol oil. Didn't bother to choose the oil also. No idea what kinda oil filter they use.. jus some brown color packaging. They charge just abt 100 for a standard servicing.

Thks It's confusing. see, I was given quotation for the change of

oil only at $150++ from CA and $120++ from a shell station. went to servo yesterday

dennis just left. . Is it the fully synthetic oil you are using? Mineral oil

are much cheaper. Moreover, Amby takes a 4.7L of engine oil!!!

I think all octavias take 4.7l of engine oil. Most probably is fully syn. Their oils all on the shelf, you can take a look and request which oil you wanna use. Or you can bring your own oil and ask them to change for you. Then they charge you for labour and the oil filter at most. You can drop by this evening or call him and check with him.

Well, according to the manual, the Classic needs only abt 4L. Actually, CAS has a fully-synthetic 'Enhanced' svc package at only $198. It includes spark plug change, engine flush, fuel sys cleaning, aircon anti-bacterial treatment and wheel balancing & rotation! Only saw it this week on the web or else I would have gone to them. Plus they're givin away free LED breakdown triangles till the end of Aug. Sounds like a real attractive deal - except they prob will not have the VAG comp to run the diagnostics program. oh, they only provide 4L of oil - need to pay for top-up!
