door one side of the signel light will not blink, the light will

There is this gauge (not sure what it is called) which makes your signal blinks.. It could be faulty..

Best is to get a certified electrician to look into it.

Huatman, looks like the hazard light wire harness may have been exposed and come into

contact with the door metal parts. So when you open the door the exposed wire is

grounded thereby activating the hazard light circuit.

Hope this helps

The car hazard light is connected to your DOME Fuse. Under your dashboard, their should be a series of fuse and relay. Sometimes, when it rains, water sip into it causing it to malfunction.

THe DOme fuse is ok else if it is blown, you cannot start your car, you should look for the relay. Check if your interior light is working proper or not.. from there you can start to trace.

There's a high chance that the the wiring for the light bulb (the one that's not blinking) is shorted to the chassis. The Relay & the Fuse should be fine in this case as the other side is blinking & the other non blinking one still lights-up, IMO.

The blubs are connect in parallel to the relay & light bulbs being an inductance (coil) it will regulate the blinking speed. It any one of the bulb is blow, you will notice the blinking is faster than before as the the inductance of the circuit is changed wink.gif

The problem is the water sip into the coil which is most of the time not accessible. When this happen, it starts blinking crazy. You know my additional 100w headlight system, once the water sip in the relay and it behaved like disco lights until it finally died !!.

If the chasis is coated well, it should not be shorted but simply fail.. if shorted, the fuse should be blown by now..

Again, best is bake the car under hot sun and hope eventually the water dries up. [;)]

this is also another possibility that the relay stays closed (stuck) after the electric current is cut of from the electro-magnet nod.gif
