Hi Slayer,

Not a good idea to stick it on the side of the batterythumbsdown.gif. It becomes a problem when you have to change the battery or if the water from the battery leaks. I stuck mine on the airboxtongue.gif. I would have prefered to stick it on the fuse box but the bonnet won't close. Sigh.unsure.gif

Hi Slayer,

Since you do already, don't bother to change it. Do it when you need to change your battery.

You'll also noticed that I mounted at a point where if the double sided tape fails, the unit won't drop into the engine well but get lodged between the airbox & the battery idea.gif. That's why took me 10 mins to survey a good spot to place the HVS. Typical KS singaporean laugh.gif. Connection to the battery was easy.

Have you guys noticed that after fitting the HVS, the braking point (engine braking) is reduced quite considerable (meaning less engine braking)confused.gif. My Auto G9 has this "desire" to sprint forward even when I release the throttle fully. I use to be able to glide into a traffic light from 70km/h with light braking action within 150-200mthumbsup.gif. Now even 300m not enough to slow the car down. I'll be wearing off my brake pads soon!sweatdrop.gif

Neutral Newbie

Good of you to think of how to slow down when most others only think of how to go forward faster. thumbsup.gif Well in that sense, dun you think there will be a reduction in frictional force casued by some components on your car. It could be clutch resistance or injector resistance when you decelarate.

Hi Lester,

confused.gif ????

Overall, I think that with the improved electrical system after HVS, the car is experiencing better firing therefore a more efficient combustion. That might "reduce" the rolling resistance as previously experienced before the mod. I'm no expert at this, maybe Cool can comment on my layman "pian chiak" answer. tongue.gif

There is definitely an improve in the performance department, no doubt about it. It's just that I haven't fully exploited it. Only "complaint" I have is that everyone talks about the ECU having to "relearn", no-one mentioned that the driver also has to "relearn" his "settings, especially the braking points, the throttle control etc. laugh.gif

It's a damn good product so far that I've used.

Hi Lester,

That's why the driver relearning process. Now have to know the new braking point sweatdrop.gif.

Basically I bought the HVS more for the economy of it then for the "hiong" driving sly.gif. We all drive safely right? It's always the other guy who's at fault laugh.gif!

Cheers

The forum is working man..

Enough posting here to drive me to invest in the gadget.

DIY into the car.. well that was fun.

It was really kelam-kabut [confused] , hands like legs .. screws drop.. nuts drop ..

got to remove the battery to salvage it...

finally saw the flashin red/green on the device.. [sweatdrop]

I guess that was ok?

Since i remove the battery for a while,

radio preset channel gone, tripmeter reset to zero.. [bigcry]

the ECU may be also reset.. [bigcry]

Nice try though..

Congrats!! glad to hear that u like what u've installed... [thumbsup]
