Ghostling Neutral Newbie October 13, 2003 Share October 13, 2003 (edited) Hi all , newbie here. Has anyone tried the mintex OEM replacements brake pads(the red box)? My current stock pads are wearing out soon , and was thinking of chnging to mintex. but i am worried that my rotors might not be able to take the mintexs. By the way , whats is the difference between the silverline and the red box ones? thanks!! Any comments/suggestions? thanks!! Better biting/braking feel (compared to stock VAG pads, anyway), a whole lot less dust generated, too, which is quite an added bonus in situation like when cleaning silly rims that come with those look-good-but-darn-hard-to-clean cap screws around their perimeter. Mintex is available in thre varieties namely Silverline, Redbox and High Performance (blue colored box). Silverline is available for most Jap/Korean cars while Redbox is available for most Conti/American makes. The hi-po pads available for some makes/models, have to check for specific application.
