A few questions....

1) if i do a piggy back chip, will it cause any reselts on my main ECU or will it cause any conflicts of i reset my main ECU.

2)if use superchip, will i need to remove my exisiting ECU. if no need then wat happens if i reset my ECU will it cause the Superchip to be affected.

3)lastly, will there be any conflicts with the airbad settings or ABS, Electronic Brake distribution etc...if use either of the chips.

Thanks

Hi... to the best of my knowledge (which is indeed limited [:p] )

(1) shouldn't cause any problem on your ECU - for Buddy Club, what happens is it sits between the engine and ECU for those areas it controls - so basically it takes over from the ECU - and such functions would be 'superceded'.

(2) if it is a piggy back, then your base ECU will remain intact - only full ECU replacements would require removal of ECU. But to be honest I am not that familiar with superchip - if it is one of those that overwrites the ECU program - then your ECU would no longer be stock. Not sure what would happen if you reset your ECU for superchip. For Buddy Club, am told the programming will remain intact even after an ECU reset (or battery disconnect). For those overwrite programs - dunno.

(3) the piggy back only overwrites the signals that it controls - other signals are not affected - so your airbag/brakes etc should be not touched.

Hope this helps.
