Turbobrick Neutral Newbie March 23, 2002 Share March 23, 2002 I was confused when my brick came with Michelin "Pilot HX" as well. I tot it was cool to have "pilot" series of hi-po tires. However, when the stupid rubber skidded in my home carpark and I was like 0.5secs from the wall, I immediately changed to GY Eagle F1s! So.......Michelin Pilot HX = FAKE!!! REAL goods = Pilot SX MXX3, Pilot Sport ↡ Advertisement

Ghostrider 3rd Gear March 26, 2002 Share March 26, 2002 Ya balls....marketing men at their very best !! So I guess they took a cue from Ford, Mit and Subaru....if they can make a hot version of Focus, Lancer and Imprezza.....pple will buy the bread and butter version of their models. Like once Honda engineer said....racing improves the breed of the car. But I have no experience with Falkens but the very momnent that I heard of the ST115 begin good in the wet, I smell a rat !! At first pple was raving about its performance machem like some god sent tyres....gesssss.....there are much better tyres around !!
Michel Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 Hi Hensony i'm new to this forum....I am also using the Yokohama A300. It's noisy. Is there anyway to trade them? Cheers
Michel Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 Or foes anyone knows where to go for trade-in, if it's even remotely possible?
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 Trade in for a new set? Possible at most tire shops, don't be surprised they give U $20 per tire only though
Michel Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 That would be a waste since it's still looks really new and very 'groovy' in the threads.
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 Well if U can get a deal with a tire shop to give U a set of wheels/tires and take in your stock wheels/tires as trade in, perhaps you can get a dandy good price for the new/2nd hand set? Try Leong Seng at Alexandra Rd or Hurry Tire at Serene Centre.

Hensony Clutched May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 I don't think there's any trade-in value for A300. If I'm not mistaken, it is one of the lower grade among Yokohama tyres. I am waiting for my presnet tyres to wear sufficiently to justify replacement. One thing I must admit about A300 tyres. They sure can last. I have been using my present A300 for more than 1.5 year. They look like they can still last for quite some time. Sigh.......... Hi Hensony i'm new to this forum....I am also using the Yokohama A300. It's noisy. Is there anyway to trade them? Lester Neutral Newbie May 20, 2002 Share May 20, 2002 (edited) I talked to this elderly looking guy whenI just got my vehicle and they didn't have wat I wanted. He kept on pushing me to change to 17" or 18' rims which I dun need. I wanna keep back my 16" tires and he quoted me a set of Italian wheels, cun remember the brand offhand. It's like almost S$80 higher per pc than outside market. Eventually, I got my metals from Malaysia and Japan! Now I'm with a set of Impul Racing C1 from Japan. The metals look ill! Here's a pic.
