Tell me more. How did your brother do it? Its like its an ez corner but there is no room for mistake. I saw a BMW turning turtle on that corner. Any tricks to it?

There are no tricks when it comes to handling a car. Theoretically, it will always sounds easy, that's until you get into the car and do it. If a car cannot follow the same lane to go around a corner, at higher speeds it would be very difficult, as it would need a much bigger arc to go round it.

 

The handling load on the suspension will reach critical stage as it approaches the apex of the bend, when the car starts turning. Depending on how well is the suspension design, for normal cars I'm sure everyone knows that we can't expect supercar handling.

 

That's why I'd probably keep my Alfa75 for many more years to come, as it has very good handling which is only in production on very few new cars. To upgrade the suspension on my car, I can install the bushings, roll bars etc., from the Alfa SZ which is capable of cornering at 1.4G. As it is, the present setup on my car is good enough for everyday driving.

 

But my brother is going to sell away his AlfettaGT soon, so I'd take back the suspension kit that we swap when I first bought my car. I'll run around with it for awhile and see if I'm comfortable with it, as I wasn't when I first had it, as it won't roll the car around the bends.

Are there any Reliabilty / QC / Lemon problems you faced ?

... esp since you probably got the initial batch in '01/'02

 

Do you get a lot of problems, esp with the myriad of electronics onboard ?

 

How good is its ESP on the handling ? ... How does it compare to Focus ?

 

Are there 3rd-party workshops that can service this car ?

OR no choice must always go back to Advanced Automobiles ?

How's their competency / service / price / etc ? ... for each of them

Hi

 

Drove the C6 b4, smooth comfortable ride. QC wise prepare for tiny failures .. like a friend has mention to me that his speedometer went off and handbrake cap came off. Other wise not much problem.

C5 is really comfortable!! I will melt in the car. Things to watch out incl transmission and the infamous hydroneumatic suspension. U can also ask Thomas for advise b4 buying.

You should check out the coupe version. 2L fully manual, 2 door. Pity LTA did not approve of it because of the in-built tintied windscreen, would have been a really chio ride.

I know it is strange after so many years of your initial post that I write to check with you. This is because I am thinking of buying a 2nd hand C5, year of registered is 2005 which i believed is the model that you bought then.

 

Are you still driving the C5 now? Can I ask you the reliability of this car? fuel consumption and maintenance cost?

 

I hope to hear from you and your feedback on this car.
