Acemundo Supercharged April 30, 2004 Share April 30, 2004 Hi, I have read about fuel filters but have not actually seen it. How do we DIY change of fuel filter? Where is it located? What frequency should we change fuel filters? ↡ Advertisement
Goodspeed Clutched April 30, 2004 Share April 30, 2004 what car u drving? actually differnet place for different car... for mine (swift) it is located at the petrol tank so i cannot DIY because it is dangerous as the petrol will come out. my friends Honda civic is at the front. but actully if ur fuel filter is metal should not be a problem as wear and tear not so fast. by the way how you know your fuel filter needs to change?>>? Acemundo Supercharged April 30, 2004 Author Share April 30, 2004 but i suppose replacing it is not "diy-able" ?
Zafira18 1st Gear April 30, 2004 Share April 30, 2004 can be DIYable easily within 2 min. But you need to find way to lift up the car...

Genie47 1st Gear April 30, 2004 Share April 30, 2004 Follow instruction manual for the filter change interval.
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie April 30, 2004 Share April 30, 2004 Filter change intervals range from 60k - 100k and is usually DIY-able. One safety issue is you'll have to de-pressurize the fuel system first either but triggering the fuel cutoff switch or bleeding the fuel system via a bleed valve located at the fuel rail. Prepare to smell like fuel for a while if you DIY I've done a few fuel filter changes and done a fuel tank change and everytime I get free el d gasoline parfume all over. Yeobh 4th Gear May 2, 2004 Share May 2, 2004 Many careless mechanics suffer burnt and many cars catch fire, all these have one way or other connected to petrol leakage. So unless you are ready handy ( and have the information ) and have the right locking clip plier, I strongly suggest you leave the job to train professional meahanics just to have peace of mind. Do what you know best, enjoy your weekend

Yeobh 4th Gear May 4, 2004 Share May 4, 2004 I don't like fire-fighting maintenance, I always opt for preventive maintenance to save time headache and towing fee ↡ Advertisement
