Filter change intervals range from 60k - 100k and is usually DIY-able. One safety issue is you'll have to de-pressurize the fuel system first either but triggering the fuel cutoff switch or bleeding the fuel system via a bleed valve located at the fuel rail. Prepare to smell like fuel for a while if you DIY [:p]

 

I've done a few fuel filter changes and done a fuel tank change and everytime I get free el d gasoline parfume all over. [:p][laugh]

 

Actually, dun have to trigger anything... just remove the power to the pump. Start the engine and let it run till engine stall by itself. Cos fuel pressure to injector not high to discharge out from injector.

 

Just put some rags over the connector when disconnecting the fuel line will ensure no spillage of el d gasoline on your body. [laugh]

 

maybe some high end cars have all the features like you said... at least mine don't. [:)]

Yes I know Autodata back in the early 80's. They are great for info.Hope more mechanics here use them.
