Silverarrow Neutral Newbie July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 Ignis where got ex??? Maybe he's thinking about the Ignis Sport. You're right... Ignis is pretty cheap, although a bit cramped on the inside.
Sgrac3r Neutral Newbie July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 for a 1.3L car that is almost $10,000 more than the Getz, at that price is ex for me. but i really ignis sport. power performer
Redeel Neutral Newbie July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 Well, think of the savings on petrol on the Ignis as compared to the Getz... eddie

Kopikao Neutral Newbie July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 hmmm.... lets do a simple calculation. Person A owns a 1.5L Ignis sport - with lets say avg fuel consumption of 16km/L Person B owns a 1.3L Getz - with lets say avg fuel consumption of 10km/L Both A and B travlled a distance of 100km per day - 100x7x4 = 2800km per month. Lets set the petrol price at 1L = $1.45 Hence petrol cost for A per momth = (2800/16)*1.45= 175L*1.45= $253.75 Hence petrol cost for B per momth = (2800/10)*1.45= 280*1.45= $406 Difference in petrol cost for A and B per month = 406 - 253.75 = $152.25 Lets say both A and B drove their cars for 3 yrs... hence total saving for A over B in 3 yrs = 152.25*12*3 = $5481 If 4yrs = $7308 If 5yrs = $9135 Hence up to 5yrs person A haven recup the 10K cost diff from B from buying the diff car (of course based on daily 100km travelled)
Tien Neutral Newbie July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 fuel consumption is secondary lah. most impt is that one likes the car one buys FC anywhere near 10-13km/l should be acceptable (so getz n aveo both acceptable). if wanna save petrol, best dont drive... hehehe
Mavvy Clutched July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 1.1L inline 4 cylinders 64ps@5500rpm a bit siong on NSH I see.... i forgotten about the engine output.. 1.1l... How about my 1.4l okay ?
Kopikao Neutral Newbie July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 I fully agree on getting a car you like... When i got my Optra, my friends would say "why dun get a Toyota, they don't eat alot of petrol".... hahaha.. that really pissed me off.... Driving really eating deep into my pockets. When riding bike, my fuel comsumption was like 35km/L.... compared to the 10~11km/L of car.... really sickening... hahaha
Tien Neutral Newbie July 8, 2004 Share July 8, 2004 10-11km/l is acceptable lah. i think most auto cars are around this range why riding bike can only get 35km/l? my bike can go much further... more like (infinite)km/l hahahaha cos using leg power!
