Hensony Clutched March 3, 2002 Share March 3, 2002 Any bros here can advise what is the correct pressure for my 98' Ford Laser? I installed my PBV at Mcwell. It was set at 2 bar. My car's performance did improve. But I believe there is room for improvement. There is such a website for Nissan cars. It recommended that for Nissan Sunny 1.5, the pressure should be set to 2.9 bar. My friend tried out its recommendation and reported that his car's performance improved tremenduously. Thanks a million! ↡ Advertisement

Hensony Clutched March 3, 2002 Author Share March 3, 2002 There's a slight increase in fuel consumption. But I guess the culprit is the driver. With better pick up, there is always this urge to step harder on the accelerator. I must say the feeling of faster pick up can be addictive. The end result is higher fuel consumption. Don't blame the PBV. Blame the driver. As I've always told my friends. Did your fuel consumption increase a lot after installing the PBV?
Hensony Clutched March 3, 2002 Author Share March 3, 2002 Mcwell charges $280 for supply and installation of PBV. My friend got the PBV at Polymotors along Bendemeer Rd for $180 and installation at his mechanic was $50. Mcwell and Autodesign sells PBV as well, not sure about their pricing with installation.
