Selespeed156 Neutral Newbie November 8, 2002 Share November 8, 2002 It depends on your car chassis / suspension and tyre grip. Screeching of tires during fast/sharp turnings is a warning from the tires that they will give-up the grip if you push any further. cheers. ↡ Advertisement
Unknown_G7 Neutral Newbie November 8, 2002 Author Share November 8, 2002 When I'm driving on MSCP, I can also heard those sharp screeching sound from my tyre when making a slow turn!?
Madarmour Neutral Newbie November 8, 2002 Share November 8, 2002 Smooth cement flooring like those in the MSCP doesn't grip well. That's why tyres squeals a lot in MSCP. Sometimes even the act of turning the wheel can induce some noise!
Saaber Neutral Newbie November 8, 2002 Share November 8, 2002 Hi all, I just got my Kumho 712 225/45 R17 at S$130.00 per piece from Yap Bros today. Service is fantastic. Pump the tyre with nitrogen. Tighten with Torque Wrench Wash Rim Thoroughly and apply Meguair Endurance High Gloss Tyre Shine. Offer me S$12.00 for tyre rotation after 10000km. Yttrium Neutral Newbie November 8, 2002 Share November 8, 2002 I think some of them are even painted with some kind of smooth coating. Almost all tyres screech on those. Damn irritating.. it can even be heard from 6 floors up.. I wonder if that's how TCS gets their crappy screeching tyres sound effect

Unknown_G7 Neutral Newbie November 8, 2002 Author Share November 8, 2002 (edited) Is it b'cos Nitrogen more lighter than air!? Edited November 8, 2002 by Unknown
Saaber Neutral Newbie November 8, 2002 Share November 8, 2002 Nitrogen don't heat as much as normal air and it is moisture-free and oxygen free thus less oxidation inside the tyre and thus on the whole, the tyre will maintain tyre pressure better than air and also due to less oxidation, the tyre will last much longer. Madarmour Neutral Newbie November 9, 2002 Share November 9, 2002 (edited) Yeah, it's good. Not the best but 'cheap and good'! How much do they charge for nitrogen refill? I always feel that those who use a torque wrench to tighten wheel nuts/bolts are those who are proud of their work.
