Selespeed156 Neutral Newbie October 11, 2002 Share October 11, 2002 You using after-market rims? Does it have the exact hub size or you used spacers? These aluminum spacers tend to get deformed and warp easily, causing vibrations when traveling at certain speed. I used to have this problem on my previous car, on the OZ F1-Champion rims. Had to change to different set, as the deformed spacers caused damage to my rims' hub too. Lesson here is to get rims with hub dimension fitting exactly to your wheel hub. Spacers do cause vibrations, though not for all cases. Cheers.
Yttrium Neutral Newbie October 11, 2002 Share October 11, 2002 Nope. These are original Honda rims. Original for the H22 VTEC 4th gen version that is. They were swapped over from another car. Seems that each time I balance the wheels, it just changes the speed at which I start to feel the onset of the vibration. This time it's much better tho.. so I guess I'll live with it. Blue Neutral Newbie October 11, 2002 Share October 11, 2002 Ever tought of the spiggot. These are the ring kind of thing that are put on to the rotor disc at the centre before the rims are set in. It makes the rim sit snugly in place and more importantly dead centre. Had this problem when i used Still Auto rims on my previous car
