Saaber Neutral Newbie December 20, 2002 Share December 20, 2002 If you are leaking air con gas, then the air con would not be cold already... the bubble in the window you see is normal.... Get the mechanic to check for leak first by pressuring the system. If no leak, then top up gas and observe for a day or two. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Esky Neutral Newbie December 20, 2002 Share December 20, 2002 Usually the gas won't leak all immediately, but bit by bit, and you'll notice that the aircon seems to take longer and longer to cool to the same temperature, and the compressor seems to run forever. And from my experience, and what the aircon guys told me, the gas doesn't usually leak so much that it's noticeable unless there's a leak in the system. . Neilchua Neutral Newbie December 20, 2002 Share December 20, 2002 How about Pandan Leaves? I saw alot of people especially Taxi drivers put that and i must say it smell quite nice. According to them it drives away cockroaches too I know some taxis put pandan leaves but alas, pandan leaves is good until it turns bad. And when its past its "expiry or useful date", the pandan leaves gives a terrible smell like macham arm pit smell, damn bad... sat in many cabs in my lifetime (work related , dun drive when out for client visits) and this is what I experience. Smiley Neutral Newbie December 23, 2002 Share December 23, 2002 (edited) fr those who do not like the smell of pandan leaves, try using tea leaves. heard that chinese tea leaves are the best. the tea leaves must be soaked. the good things about tea leaves are (1) do not brittle and (2) do not leaves behind any smell. it basically live its life to the fullest by absorbing all foul smell. the bad thing about tea leaves is it is less lasting than pandan leaves and must be change regularly. great for people who drinks tea frequently. by the way, it works fr fridge as well.
