have driven both the hipporolla and the altis..there is just something missing in the altis which makes the hipporolla feels much better and solid than the altis..1stly there's better noise insulation in the hipporolla than the altis. This is very apparent when cruising on highway, altis just feels like a thin cheap metal box.. [:/]

2ndly the quality of the interior is more solid and consistent in the hipporolla. y i sae consistent? u are able to c that on the altis the shutline is nt consistent, some parts have bigger gap than another...whereas for the corolla everithing feels more closely fitted [thumbsup]

Neutral Newbie

By the way, i have customers telling me that the Laser is a better car than the Altis. However, Altis still has the quieter engine.

1. What do we expect here? In Japan, Altis is not marketed under the brand of Toyota but Daihatsu instead.

2. So those who are driving a Altis here is infact driving a Daihatsu.
