Jet8998 Neutral Newbie January 10, 2005 Share January 10, 2005 Yes, it is available in Singapore now. The price for 1.6M standard is $58,988.
Julian Clutched January 10, 2005 Share January 10, 2005 Value for money.... more metal for less money comparing other models... but only manual available.... somehow still feel the Thai made Optra sedan better quality than Optra Wagon n Optra5
Mach Clutched January 10, 2005 Share January 10, 2005 Went to look at it - its a really very nice looking wagon ! Best of all its $56K+ now ! Same price as normal Optra (M). But its only available in 1.6l MANUAL transmission....no automatic transmission option at all. Sigh. Guess that makes it much less saleable here in Singapore. Redtrack Neutral Newbie January 11, 2005 Author Share January 11, 2005 Hi thanks for the welcome note. Will sure stay for a while as i have shortlisted Chervolet cars over other brands. My colleague has bought his Optra Auto around 73k when it was launched. So the current 57k price tag is very affordable - jaw dropping. My preference is for station wagon as I like the extra space and rounded corners. At the moment, I am waiting for Chervolet to make available the specifications and for local review of the car. Julian Clutched January 11, 2005 Share January 11, 2005 Wagon n Sedan should be almost same in terms of ride, handling and performance..... Optra5 should be best as got traction control and 14" tyres to improve ride/comfort/FC Optra is a car that u can't complian much except that engine noisy n unwilling when push hard Wagon should loss to Sedan as it is slightly heavier for the same engine My dad own the Optra.... very comfortable.....i would say it is 80% continental except for lesser equipment list, lesser plastic quality for some parts and lesser price compared to conti cars. Must say that the "fit n Finish" is on par or better than some Jap. cars but definately better than other Korean brands. I like the "mini fridge" in the Optra glove box.... can put a drink can n keep it cool... Many compartments n pockets in the cabin too....
Redtrack Neutral Newbie January 12, 2005 Author Share January 12, 2005 Below is the closest website i could find about this wagon. Click for a video . http://www.suzukiauto.com/sr_05/forenza_wa...lery/videos.php GM markets Optra as another name Forenza in other countries. Not sure if this wagon has the same engine or come from the same country as Optra sedan...

Genie47 1st Gear February 21, 2005 Share February 21, 2005 Actually estates are sleeper cars if you can do up the engine well. The elongated form of the estate makes very very aerodynamic actually.
Sotong_kia Neutral Newbie February 21, 2005 Share February 21, 2005 [reply] My preference is for station wagon as I like the extra space and rounded corners. Not sure what space you are looking for. Cabin space, I believe it is the same as the sedan. For boot space, it is shorter than the sedan. But slightly taller lah, due to the door.
Nerd_on_wheels Neutral Newbie March 5, 2005 Share March 5, 2005 The station dash and door panel is base on the optra5, circular aircon. Door panel is semi arc and not straight. thus interior its feel different. the wagon is longer then the sedan at 4580 to the face lift optra (if it ever comes) 4515. Height is indeed higher. Its overall bigger, but manual, no airbag, no traction control. ALready not appealing to the generally public :) guess SW is just meant for a small group of people who can wants and like the form factor.
Cbx750p 1st Gear March 9, 2005 Share March 9, 2005 Hey, the wagon is probably the best value for money 5 speed vehicle in town. Like the design of the rear and the interior except for the missing arm rest As for transmission, the 5 speed is best suitable for the car. Putting an auto on this babe would do a great injustice to the fuel consumption. Heavy and big, already the 4 door people already complaint so imagine the 5 door wagon. I would like to own the wagon as my next Chevy but the wife say no more 5 speed or I will you.
Mtoh Neutral Newbie March 9, 2005 Share March 9, 2005 i think the front looks different from the Optra.... Yeah, seen the Classads..
Nerd_on_wheels Neutral Newbie March 9, 2005 Share March 9, 2005 woman just hate manual All my life is manual car, so I guess it doesn't hurt to own one for the next 10 yrs. My first car is a toyota wagon, really missed it bad. chevy made my day and let me own a wagon without the rope around the neck (just hope the running cost is not too high). Wagon is like a blend of hatch with sedan refinement. The 1.8 and 2 litre is auto. it should be here if the feedback is good.
Nerd_on_wheels Neutral Newbie March 9, 2005 Share March 9, 2005 For a better view of the interior .http://www.chevrolet.co.jp/lineup/optra/interior/index.html. ITs based on the newer optra5, so its sparks difference to the saloon car version. Do I sound like a salesman promoting the car ↡ Advertisement
