Cracker 1st Gear January 19, 2005 Share January 19, 2005 ok..went to do some grocery finally the refuel indicator lighted up !!!!! went to top up Shell 92 again. Distance travelled : 583 km Amt of petrol pumped in : 45.7 litres !!! Mileage : 12.75 km/l I left it to the attendant to fuel up the tank...he probably stop with the first click.. But 45.7 vs the tank capacity of 60 l...it similar to my former civic where the refuel indicator light up with ard 10 ~15 litres to spare.. Btw my ride is manual. I oso tried RON92, RON98 and V-Power. SamSama... My indicator light up at 450km.

Sky8807 1st Gear January 20, 2005 Share January 20, 2005 If the reading and no additional top up since collecting the car then FC is V Good. To minimise error, I think u shd take another reading to be sure.
Takanori Neutral Newbie January 20, 2005 Share January 20, 2005 (edited) Bro if ur FC still continue lidat tink u gonna gone broke soon! Although FC will definitely increase after a few tanks, I hope u will hav significant increase coz current FC really pathetic. I travelled 300km wif my indicator at 1/2 mark. Cracker 1st Gear January 23, 2005 Share January 23, 2005 one of the reason I feel why Optra's consumption is higher is due to its torquey engine.. notice tat the rpm at 100km/h is close to 3000 rpm !! compare to my previous EK3 which is ard 2500 for 100 km/h ... for the optra at 2000 rpm, the speed is only 80 km/h.....such figures for 80 and 100km/h are similar to conti cars like SAAB and Bora. The rpm for such car at 100km/h is > 3000 rpm,,,powerful when going up slope...but the fuel will also be consumed much faster.

Stary Turbocharged January 24, 2005 Share January 24, 2005 dude..u are kidding me!! Which Optra are you driving? manual, auto or Optra-5?? For 100km/h, my auto optra is only at 2200-2300 rpm. At the highest gear of course. at 3000 rpm, my car would be close to 125km/h. ↡ Advertisement
