Wonder if any optra5 owners here would like to advise me on what to look out for, what i can bargain for etc etc... and.. i've seen the black, blue, silver and red one, but dunno wat the brown (beige?) one looks like, anyone got a pic to show? I'm surprised that some reviews have said that the engine is quiet. i mean it's not NOISY but i wouldn't say it's quiet. nice tone to it, but certainly not quiet. anyone? any comments on this car, good or bad, please educate me!! maybe quite soon i'll be part of your family. ↡ Advertisement Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

But when u got the car, n drive upslope, u feel the stress liao. But overall car is alrite despite tat slope fear. I dun quite lyk when low gear coz it's not tat responding, but when move to last gear, ard reaching 80km, u can reach 120km unknowingly. Not all cars r perfect, there's always gd n bad. U happy can liao. Actuali nthing much to luk 4, juz luk 4 the basic thing; dent, scratches, interior quality, engine, all neccessary parts; (Lights(Including fog), wiper(rear too), meter gauge indicator n etc... Oh ya Spare tyre n tools too Dun tink of bargin any accessories coz 4 Optra5 still nthing much, unavailable of stock. Anyway Optra5 is already quite complete liao. Btw if u got the car manual pls inform me coz I haven't got it n dey say will send to me when stock arrive. If u reali got den time 4 me to screw up my SE 4 not sending me liao. I have chosen Imperial Blue (just like yours :))...keep in touch. Wanted to buy the AVEO previously but the price drop was too tempting too pass over. Hexton Neutral Newbie January 21, 2005 Share January 21, 2005 You can try to bargain for the usual stuff like - reverse sensor (standard worth about $100) but if get the internal reverse sensor ($280) - UV film - full road tax - insurance - extra immoboliser How much you can get depends on your nego. skill liao... must to get more... Staff: yeah ... now till feb only brown (beige) and silver available.. i think? taka: hi man, yeah hope to join u as a kaki soon, i havne't sign yet, so anything could happen, and i'm not in a rush ;) i'll prob be getting black, but i'm thinking it'll prob be the most common for optra5 and sometimes i like to be a little different. but i dun doubt the black is prob the best for this car, otherwise second choice is red (maroon). hexton: doesn't it come with a reverse sensor already? i didn't notice when i test drove it, even when parking there was nothing behind me for it to beep. other than that, i will be barganing for vcool, change HU to mp3 one?, er.. floor mats come standard rite! ahahha wat else ar... extra immobiliser for...? also, if i get the car, there's an option for no leather, CD stacker and sports rims, minue 2k, so from 64988 to 62988. i dun need a stacker, and the leather can do myself rite? and the most impt is the rims, it's only 14" wat's the point (same size as the steel wheels!).. i'll prob get myself 15s or 16s... so maybe i'll go with the 2k less package? any advise here? Don't think in comes with reverse sensor. Well, try all your best to get more... Floor mats is standard. Well, they only give 1 immobiliser, in case you lost it, you will have to pay hundred over bucks to get another one... very ex... so if the SE can throw in, of course better...
