Whats the ideal speed for running in the car? 80km/h. if i have to do that speed, it'll take me forever to get to my destination. yes, i'm very blur about this. you don't run in your car with a constant RPM and Speed as the engine needs to be "condition" to all the RPM range, just don't stay too long at the "RED" zone of the RPM, it's the duration that counts and not the number of "visit" to the "RED" zone Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
Atlantis_boi Clutched November 28, 2005 Share November 28, 2005 hello~ wat u mean by city driving is best for run in? i got my new ride last week... the SE told me dun need run-in... but i read the manual say must run-in (1K)... then for past week i'd been driving slowly... rpm between 1.5k - 2.5k.... Dun have to 2 b so conserative. 3K rpm & below shld b fine. Sad to tell u the workers doin the delivery of new cars @ the wharf haf already 'run-in' the vehicles liao To be safe, the margin for run-in is set @ 1K.
