Hey my dad getting the mark x soon ... just wondering what does dual vvti does and are there any specs like the speed for 0-100? He is getting the 2.5 luxury version for 130800 if i'm not wrong

I think 0-100 is in the 8s region.

The car looks good.

Dual VVTi means there are 2 sets of cams for both the intake valve and the exhaust valve if I'm not mistaken

The car we have now is a rover 75 V6 2.0 quad cam 150 horse .. does the quad cam does alot of difference or does the 2.5 vvti produce better power?

V6 engines with 4 valves per cylinder requires 2 sets of cams for each row of cylinders. Hence you have 4 sets (Quad Cam). I think its not a variable valve timing system (really not sure) so the 2.5 should produce better power. Besides, the obvious is that it has a larger displacement.

So that the exhaust valve remains open for a longer period of time at high end? The engine will breathe better and the purging out of the exhaust will be more efficient. Hence better power? Limited understanding here but I think thats how it is sweatdrop.gif
