Hyundai Getz

Hi..

What sort of performance are you looking at? And which version are you looking to get?

The Getz comes in 1.3L SOHC and 1.6L DOHC version and only the 1.6L has a manual transmission model. However, the 1.6L manual Getz only comes in 3-dr version, ala Ignis Sport pattern.

Power to weight ratio, the 1.6 would be the definite choice of course.

Can test drive it. Anyway, chevrolet aveo is also about that price range, you might want to take a look. If on a budget, Kelisa auto is a good buy too, BUT only for the budget minded.

Back to the topic, 1.6 Getz would be the best buy. For 4k more(I think), you have better engine (small family is still a family), air bags, ABS, and other packages. Try it out, you wouldn't be disappointed. 1.3 seems to be more for single riders who are quite tight on the wallets.

I know Getz1.3 doesn't have those. But when we asked the SE the difference between 1.3 and 1.6, there are airbags and ABS mentioned. Guess it is best to new buyers to check it out for himself.

[sunny] Hi ,,I thought of my buying new Getz..any opinion from others??

getz 1.6L comes with ABS and comes in both 5door and 3 door version and spoiler,15" sports rims,cd changer, is default now.

engine is 4 value DOHC. displacement is about 1598cc (or something like that).

in terms of displacement, it is more than most 1.6L engines of your popular cars on the road. (1.5L engines of vios/ignis of coz less than 1500 lar)

in terms of weight, it is 200kg lighter than a matrix and is lighter than a toyota altis.

best thing about this car is it handles well, because of its firewall design, u don't need to add in a strut bar. and its sort of built like a tank (dont quote me). i've seen someone with getz knocked into a toyota and the getz's got just scratched but the bumper of toyota caved in.

and best of all, width wise, it is about 10-15cm smaller and length wise 20cm shorter than a matrix. how can it be cramp? since most of the reduction is at the boot and bonnet area?

oh yes. to add...

FC for getz 1.6A is about 10-13km/L

FC for matrix 1.6A is about 7-9km/L.

if you strictly just want to compare FC, go get a honda CITY, since they boasting 17km/L.
