New Latio owner

FC is good. Done 820km using 59.87lit, so avg abt 13.7km/lit. My corolla

was around 13 to 14km/l.

Latio is well equipped for a 1.5. Int.key is cool. Cabin lights up when u enters the car. Even the dashboard meter illuminate when engine is turned on. Auto headlights in dim areas, engine is quiet etc..

Sounds like a good buy. With features found on conti cars, it should be a hot buy. With the high FC history, they have at least overcome a common and valid bugbear for them.

The new Sonata looks a bit like Honda Accord - thailand.

What a ugly car! Saw one on the road that day and feel that it looks like a taller honda city....in fact, city looks nicer...certainly overpriced for a 1.5 litre car.

The sedan's looks probably won't appeal to all, but the Sport version is quite decent. Not absolutely stunning but at least passable.

 

BUT, it's the inside that's the nicest bit about the car, plus all the gadgets/extras that it comes with.

The look probably has room to improve. But the gadgets wins hands down. And it is made in Japan and considering that the yen has fallen so much, it is quite good value for money ...

the sedan looks out of place. while its contour vaguely reminds me of the megane sedan, i just have to say the sedan lose out in the looks as compared to megane. at least the boxiness of the megane looks at ease while the boxiness of the latio sedan just does not really sit well with its overall.

 

the latio hatch, is a different cup of ball game altgother. with a resemblance to the astra and the golf, its one of the few hatchbacks that the japanese can brag about in the looks department.

 

i tested the latio hatch though. good, but at that price, there are other better buys
