Alrighty, I'll check it out, then if it's good I'll let you know ya! Btw, can you PM me your model of car so I can check for you the price? wink.gif

Me driving Corolla G6, registered 1991. Since old car about 6 more years to go, I don't wanna spend too much on tinting, but below $200 should be OK with me. But it must be LTA compliance as I need to go for inspection every year. smile.gif

Appreciate if you would let me know if you got good lobang, thank you.wink.gif

I went down to AB Cool yesterday with my friend to check it out. My opinion, I'm not going there to do my tinting. True, they may seem cheap, but the IR rejection rate is not very good. [:(] Did the hand-under-the-light test, and felt the heat still went through quite a bit. But that's not the thing that turned me off. It was the way they applied the tint. They spray lots of soapy water on the inside of the window to clean it, and read this: They let the water run down the door panels. Same for the back and front window. They just spray the water on the windows, and down it goes, all over your door panels, dashboard, and rear panel..... [shakehead]

If you have a tight budget and are ok with soapy water all over your panels, then go for it. If not, join me in my search. I'm still looking for a good place. Will check out Perfect soon. Btw, the guy told me it's normal for shops to just spray the water and let it flow all over the panels. He said other places does it as well. If that's the case, then I guess I'll just give window tinting a pass altogether..... [:|]

i believe other tint shops dun let soapy water run down the door panels. perfect does it by spray soapy water on the windows ...note : juz on windows nia.

yup, you will need soapy water, even for stickers. it's the only thing tat stops the adhesive fr sealing in too early until the film has been properly aligned.

w/o sufficient soapy water, air bubbles will form n tat will b even bigger problem getting rid of.

Thank you very much for the feedback.thumbsup.gif Guess I need to do some homework myself on the various types of tinting available and find out the cheapest yet reasonable performance package. Please do let me know if you've discovered anything worth considering. I'll do likewise. wink.gif

I've just signed up for a premium package with "cool n lite". The sales manager was very honest about the films and what it can or cannot do. They also had a display setup at the road show to demonstrate the effects w/o, with normal grade and premium grade films.

It might be abit more expensive but after the demo, the look of the show car, I decided to take up the package. They gave a slight discount so $650 for whole car (SUV).

Check them out : http://www.coolnlite.com/automotiveindex.htm

Cheers!

Thanks for the info. But me driving COE car, that's why don't wish to 'invest' too much on tinting for now. wink.gif Am looking for something cheap, acceptable performance and yet LTA compliance.

You can check out their economy package....... but from what I could see, the economy package isn't as dark as the premium. I also want my windows as dark as legally possible and not only reject heat.....
