DonDon 1st Gear May 30, 2005 Share May 30, 2005 Not sure where I am going with this, but kust seek view from you kind souls. Made complaint in early March '2005 to SA on 1. Fuel Guage going (reckon it being common prob discussed by many SG Chevians.) 2. Cranking from rear suspension when traveling through uneven ground. 3. Vibration from dashboard @ speed of 105 km/hrs Result : - 1. Resolved without knowing what they did. 2. Nuts tighten, but still hearing it time after time 3. Surround Sound System still substain. A week later, returned to SA for 20K servicing. Now the findings, found the RON91 chip being replaced to the RON95 chip without my knowledge nor any advise from SA. So say, I had been pumping RON92 while running on a RON95 chip. Not notice any diff or should I say not been attentive for the past couple of months. Action : - Called SA and found through their record that the RON chip being replace during the earlier complaint prior to the 20K servicing. SA supervisor on leave and will call to me Wednesday on return. Preference : - With my basic driving requirement, I still prefer to stick with the RON91 chip as to reduce the constant investment of my ride. Should it be due to a requirement that this chip being replace, they should at least have the liberty to prompt and explain. ↡ Advertisement
Cbx750p 1st Gear May 30, 2005 Share May 30, 2005 (edited) You can surely ask SA to change it back for you ! Simply by plugging in the old 91 RON plug and that's it ! I prefer mine with the 91 RON too for the same reason. They did just that ! BTW, did notice that the 95 RON plug gives the engine more omphhh but I don't need that kind of oomph with the way I drive ! 92 RON fuel is good enough for me ! No complaints from me ! Cbx750p 1st Gear May 30, 2005 Share May 30, 2005 You will find the plug near the fuse box / battery . It is marked with a yellow tag and indicated as "91" . You can then use 92 fuel but if you have extra money, use 95, 98 or 100 .... support the Fuel Manufacturer and the Singapore Economy.
