Weezersg 3rd Gear June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 anyway to prevent the cold air from coming out from the vent near the windscreen? sometimes the fogging up is so bad that visibility can be quite bad. ↡ Advertisement
Genie47 1st Gear June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 (edited) Three things you can do. 1. Turn on the demister. Uses power. Lots of power as we now know that means your side mirrors get toasty too. 2. Turn the blower to blow to your feet as well but this will kick open the vents that blow to your side windows fogging them up where you are supposed to see them. 3. Turn recirculation off venting outside air and smell the exhaust and our wonderous high particle count air. Edited June 16, 2005 by Genie47
Brock 1st Gear June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 Just to add on to Genie's suggestions: 4. Wind down a tiny bit of window 5. Switch off air con all together and wind down windows totally
Weezersg 3rd Gear June 16, 2005 Author Share June 16, 2005 anyway to block the vent at windscreen side so still can enjoy aircon? seems like all the solutions means no air-con or increase in temp.
Spango Clutched June 16, 2005 Share June 16, 2005 Simple. Put a piece of cloth to block the vents near the windscreen.
Cbx750p 1st Gear June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 Go to SA with your problem. They have a responsibility to fix it and they will ! This is one item like the coolant bypass for the throttle that we do not need in Asia ! Believe that they will block out the vent completely ! Spango Clutched June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 Heard some bros saying that they asked SA to block the vents, but SA say 'Its like that one, cannot block'...
Brock 1st Gear June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 SA won't fix it one. I tried asking them during my 1k servicing. They just smile at me and say, "Sorry. It can't be done." Must be strict orders from GM. So far, my best method was just to reduce the air con temp to the 2nd or 3rd lowest temp setting. Fan speed mostly at 1. Almost no cases of front windscreen fogging. Spango: Put cloth or towel to block? Eeeeuck! Where got nice?!
Weezersg 3rd Gear June 17, 2005 Author Share June 17, 2005 looks ugly maybe can use blue-tack, anyway I will try ask them on my next servicing, hope the answer wont be "its like that one'
Brock 1st Gear June 17, 2005 Share June 17, 2005 Confirmed they will tell you 'No'. Many Chevy people asked already. ↡ Advertisement
