i don't think it is only the brits........

as for styling, i wouldn't call anything from Fiat an Italian beauty, that is most appropriate for Alfa and Ferrari ...

the Fiats just look like some German wannabees, the Stilo could easily be mistaken for a VW !

The Brits rate it 'unreliable'.

The Italians call it 'character'. [cool]

Ask any Italian car owner, a lot of TLC will make the car more reliable... [laugh][laugh][laugh][laugh]

I've driven one in MIlan. The road holding is [thumbsdown] especially on windy Italian autobahns. Consumption of its 1.9 JTD engine is high compared to similar offerings from the VAG group.

since when is an italian car reliable? ferraris, lambos, maseratis, fiats, alfas, lancias... all jialat wat.

but who cares? they're awesome to own and drive!!!

hmm... lets see. Fiat Stilo Abarth...

1200kg. 170bhp. 2.4L. Manual.

This thing will fly. Even at high speeds.

Fiat a "German wannabe"?? [crazy] not even close man!! [sly][laugh]

Fiat has alwys been doin their "own thing"... great example is the Fiat Multipla... now tell me - if u see one on the road, u think it'd be mistaken for a German marque in terms of design?? when u talk abt quality between a Fiat and a German make,... lagi worse... so where's the similarity?

in any case, Fiat is made for the masses and their target market is as such...a stilo lookin like a VW??? bah!! [sly][rolleyes][laugh]

of course, the old multipla is the exception, however, the new mkii multipla and the rest of the range looks as interesting at watching paint dry.......... [laugh]

Brochure puts it at 8.5sec century sprint though. For a 2.4L 3 dr, nothing to shout about.

problem is... quality in a Fiat car DOES matter and it matters GREATLY.... IF it ever wants to survive beyond this decade as a car manufacturer.

same applies to an alfa... othrwise y launch the 159 in MUNICH GERMANY? wat do u think alfa is trying to prove? - tat alfa quality is crap? or has finally come of age? [rolleyes]

[;)] agree... maybe they went a bit too "far out" with their design of the previous multipla.... now anything else is simply: ORDINARY!! [thumbsup]

agree with you, the Fiat group needs to get their act together in terms of quality, reliability and for the Fiat marque, driving dynamics.

The alfas have great driving dynamics and engines, but it is the quality that lets them down, the 159 suppose to address this issue, so only time will tell

as for Fiat, they have a looong way to go, they have quality to deal with, styling problems, even the new Croma is probably a car the world doesn't need......an executive hatch anyone?? probably the most pointless car after the Signum....

the Stilo Abarth is nothing to shout about, in engine capacity sensitive singapore, the Opel Astra H 2.0 Litre turbo 200bhp is probably a better buy with cheaper road tax century sprint in 8.2s which is faster than the Abarth, looks great and would probably have less problems....... oh and also only at $101,688
