How much u installed Broquet BoosterMaster?

How much improvement? My FC now at ard 18.5-19km/l base on calulation (meter read above this).

Ya. abt 70-80% HW. With most of the time a/c OFF.

Meter reading can reach 20km/l for a full tank (not per trip base)

I think u can pump up to 230, shld be ok.

If you ask for my honest opinion, grade 20(recommended by Honda).I am using M1 0W20 right now - $54 for 4 quarts. Many ppl may feel that this is too thin for adequate protection but bear in mind that the majority of engine wear occurs during start up operation. A lighter oil not only provides superior protection during start up but better heat transfer. There have been many UOAs done on Honda engines using grade 20 oils under different running conditions and all of them has shown very little wear characteristics. For oils, you can check with Bro Trex101. I am not sure about other workshops but Jxxxsxxxd only carries 5W40 syn, in my opinion a little too thick.

Why instal another snake oil when your FC is already showing excellent results?

I read that the 'S' mode (aka Sports mode) is able to adapt to changing road conditions, but use more fuel. the 'D' mode is sufficient for sg use coz sg road doesnt change that much. I once go 90kmh on S mode, and found the peddal really vibrate very hard. But in 'D' mode, the vibration is less.

 

The 'L' mode only goes to gear 1 & 2. but i try to press on the accelerator on L mode, but the speed only go up to 30kmh max.

 

I am getting average 14km/L, but I realized it largely got to do with the way u drive. I used to get 12-13km/L at first. Then I adjusted the way I drive, and I realized I have improved my FC. I am also travelling abt 70/30 highway/urban.

 

I havent reached my 5k servicing yet, so i still not sure what to change. I only installed Broquet BooastMaster, stabilizer soon I guess. :)

Check w the workshop.. the carry 5W30 too.. bt not cheap..

May b will lookout for other oil and ask them to change.

They have high markups for the oil which they sell you. Broquet is snake oil - means it is useless.

Hi There,

 

I've experiment driving 70 hw -30 urban using 'D' mode in urban and 'S' mode in Hw for a week in the morning ECP traffic.

FC is roughly about 13-15km/l on 16" and no mod.

 

Due to the sound produced when in 'S' mode, am relunctant to use it too often until I find a way to soundproof it .

This is what I observed on my car. At +/-1.5k rpm, a constant revving sound drop and rev again. Then at +/-2K another. Then >2.5K the constant "humming". You'll hear a slight hissing sound at > 3K. And this is more obvious if you use 'S' mode and floor the accelerator 3/4 down from rest then remember to watch the tacho climb to >3.5K (Better stop after that... you are probably above the driving speed limit... haha...)

Humming sound... ya.. i noticed it in the AIrwave quite long ago. Been driving for 9 mths liao. The sound is very amusing... quite like it a lot. But still lose to my frd's Colt Turbo Plus... everytime when he releases the accelerator, there is the "woosh" sound. So cool... I feel special driving an Airwave. DOn't you guys?

 

I was reading with disgust about the BS comments by an idiotic person regarding power of our AIrwave compared to 1.6L cars. Airwave is quite powerful liao ok... Maybe not be the most powerful among Cat A cars, but at least it's way above average. I outran my frds' Mazda 3, Hyundai Accent... Went up Genting Highlands with 4 adults and their luggage onboard, overtaking slow moving coaches with incoming traffic fast approaching on the other lane with moderate effort; did my own 0-100km/h timing and found it to be around 11 seconds (it could have been faster if i did not hold the stopwatch in one hand the steering wheel in the other, and know how to launch an automatic car properly). VTEC engine thrives on revs, thus the car may feel leathergic at lower rpm, but really eager at higher rpms.

i have soundproofing done by SILENT for the front doors. It's quietr now, but when i am a back-seat passenger, i feel the back is much noisier than the front... will SP the rear doors too when i have extra cash.
