self-confessed mahjong fan here have played mahjong for past 20+ years had streaks of bad luck, but must say i have better luck in mahjong most of the time usually play mahjong with friends and relatives (plus chit chatting sessions) have witnessed some amazing games - once a relative waited all 13 cards in 十三么... and very soon after waiting, he zi mo the winning card - a friend collected all 8 flowers... max limit - a friend gamed 清一色碰碰胡 2x consecutively i myself have gamed some big ones too 人胡 1x 十三么 5x 字一色 1x 小四喜 1x 大三元 4x 四暗刻 1x still looking to try 天胡, 十八罗汉, 九莲宝灯 and other special hands who also love to play mahjong? come, share your experiences

Novice player here seeking advice from the gurus!! 1. When does "Tio Bao" happen? 2. When does "Bao Da Pai" happen? 3. Ping Hu is 4 Tai without flowers and 1 Tai with flowers (not counting value of flowers), correct? 4. When doing Ping Hu, cannot use "Da Pai" (Big Tiles) with Tai as eyes, correct? 5. Pong Pong Hu is 2 Tai without flowers, correct? 6. What are the prize $$ for Kong and Flower "Ga"? Why sometimes x2? Thanks!

My neighbour's sec sch boy has been bringing his friends back to play mahjong everyday since last Dec. Even though they throw their fast-food waste outside the rubbish chute and mess up the place, we all just ignore them. A few weeks ago, they moved their mj table outside the flat to the lift landing and played there. As a result, we can hear them though our unit is far away fr the lift. When I came home just now, I could hear them 'washing the tiles' fr ground floor. No kidding, I'm staying on the highest flr, more than 10 floors. Never mind, I tell myself to ignore, coz that family is typical zero upbringing family. But when I step out of the lift and head towards my unit, one of them said 'happy new year 新年快乐' I continued to walk, immediately a string of vulgarities followed. Obviously he not happy I ignore him. I have decided to take action, which is the relevant authority to contact? I don't know if they are using chips to gamble, coz I nvr want to look at them. And they are obviously hooligans, my mum heard the boy quarrelling with his friends and they threaten to splash red paint on his doors. However they were back playing mj the next day. I will even call the police, but my concern is, would they say it's none of their business if they not using gambling chips?
