Just venting my frustrations as well as to warn fellow forum users.. Last Sun, I received a call from TC Tamp Automega. The salesman said that there are some promotions in stall and asked if I would like to go take a look. I asked, if I were to get the car, can I get it before CNY? He said yes. So I went down with my wife, and test drove a Sylphy. We liked the car and talked about the prices. I asked again, can we get the car before CNY? He said yes, can even get by end of the month. Then we talked about the prices. He asked me to pay a deposit of $888. I was quite concerned about my remaining settlement. I asked if the remaining settlement is higher than what he planned, can I get a refund. He said yes, and he will bear the admin cost of $26. Thus, we signed the papers and paid the deposit. Today, he called me to say that he could not get the COE, even though TC bidded quite a high price. I then said, since I cannot get the car before CNY, I do not want the deal anymore. He then said that the agreement that i signed said 6bids, so I cannot cancel. He then said that when i asked about thr refund, we were talking about the settlement situation. I then said that CNY is my main concern now. He then said that I have to wait for tomorrow to see what TC and Automega have to say at the meeting. Sigh.. I was so excited about the car til now. Buying the car has made me so fedup... I mean, whats the whole point if I cant get the car before CNY? Let's wait and see.
