    Commended cop jailed 4 years for forgery, corruption By Chong Chee Kin A DECORATED police officer who helped 53 foreign women extend their stay here illegally was on Tuesday sentenced to four years jail for forgery and corruption. Daniel Teo Guan Koon, 35, who had been commended for helping to solve several murders and a kidnapping, pleaded guilty to five charges of corruption and five for forgery. Another 22 charges were taken into consideration. The court was told that Teo, a senior staff sergeant from the CID's Special Investigation Section, raked in $26,500 for helping the 53 women from vietnam and China to extend their stay here. He forged letters to the immigration authorities saying that they women were needed here as they were witnesses to murder and unnatural deaths cases here. He received $500 for each letter. Teo, who was suspended in May, received the money from middleman Eric Au Choon Yong as a reward for his efforts.
