One of my friend was asking what's the cheapest 1st hand car in the market that can out-accelerate those pesky TC/SC taxis(Eg E200s, Skodas, Sonatas). I couldn't answer him............ What do you guys think????? Out of the cabs mentioned above, i think the sonatas are the most irritating lot, many drive like there's no tomorrow............ Mabe it's due to their sheer numbers on the road...........

looks like a SSS http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/viewPost5894.aspx STOMPer Gerry called the driver of this car an "irresponsible fool" after he saw him speeding, with the Traffic cops chasing. He then lost control of his car and it mounted the kerb of a road in Boat Quay where many people stand to hail a cab. "Absolutely no concern for other road users. What if had killed someone?" the STOMPer asked. In an email to STOMP today (& Oct), he said this happened at about 2.35am this morning. "Just arrived near the Macdonald's in a taxi when there was a godaweful screech - this Suzuki Swift (XXX 921 J) came screaming down the road pursued by a motobike TP," he said. "The driver was obviously running away. Coming into the bend he lost control, mounted the kerb at very fast speed and crashed onto the road - airbags deployed etc. Cops came in and the driver had a passenger." The STOMPer is riled that the driver did not care if his action endangers others. "Now, that corner bend usually has people there trying to flag taxis and luckily there was no one there when the fool crashed his car. "Frankly, he should be jailed. Our laws - my opinion- are too lax in dealing with morons such as the Suzuki driver. "Absolutely no concern for other road users and what if he had killed someone - short jail term, licence ban??? "I think that drivers who kill should be charged with manslaughter and drink driver needs longer jail terms!" he said. Police said a man in his mid-20s was arrested for dangerous driving after he failed to stop his car along Penang Road despite the police signalling him to do so. When the driver failed to stop his yellow Suzuki Swift, a chase followed before the driver mounted a road kerb along South Canal Road at about 2.45am.
